Default Canada

I'm thinking about going there and admittedly am no geography expert. I'm finding the complete sandwhiching of the US by Canada in the northern border quite amazing. They are our top piece of rye bread in a triple decker club sammich. Vancouver is sticking out as a neat spot.
I guess I'm asking is Canada a sleeper cool spot because it's never really popped up on the travel radar.

Great in summer. Cold in winter. Your dollar is worth 1.30 on our dollar so it’s a cheap trip.

Victoria Island's Butchart Gardens are world famous. Very cool place to visit. We did the Rocky mountain Mountaineer from Vancouver to Calgary with stops in Banf, Jasper, and Lake Louise a couple years ago. Very beautiful and fun trip.

well ya booze and smokes are expensive.

and yes BC is expensive. BC= bring cash

All thoes tourists shit holes are expensive. If you want to experience something closer to Banff try Waterton national part. Close to Montana border. Come to Alberta in October and I can set you up with a world class goose shoot. I only charge a bottle of rum

I almost forgot. My dad started skiing Mont-Tremblant in the 1950s. I'd like to do that, for sure. Very cold. Worth it? I would like to find out.

Calgary to Jasper and back. Stops in Banff and Lake Louise. See the animals, see jaw dropping beauty. It will take you 5 to 7 days and you won't regret it.

We used to go to Toronto but the traffic has gotten so bad we haven’t visited in 10+ years. Walk the streets in Toronto at night and you will see some crazy people. The city seems to attract some wacko people.

Took a walk in the morning while there and had to step over the homeless sleeping on the sidewalk. Wasn't impressed at all.

Oh Canadia... America's hat.

All's I know is in Magog in the summer was some of the hottest wimmenz I've ever seen. East of Montreal.

Even the broads working the gas stations were smoking. Course we had just come through NY so didn't take much by comparison.

Lake Regina area is nice. Halifax. PEI. Vancouver is crowded and starting to look like Portland.

save your receipts and you can often file a form and get a rebate on a lot of the taxes you pay. GST (goods and service tax) will vary depending on goods.

https://www.kotak.com/en/stories-in-...ate-slabs.html

7% PST on top of GST (provincial sales tax)

I love traveling around Canada (mostly Ontario) but even with the exchange rate in our favor, it's still not cheap. Beer and Gas are outrageous. They tax the shit out of everything!!
