Default Fair price selling factory rims 2020 Toyota

Just don’t want to price these crazy, but want to get fair market value. We bought a 2020 Rav4 and wife wanted black rims, which I must say do look a lot better. So, we paid an upcharge at retail and ended up with 4 new factory rims which are silver. I am thinking posting them at $500 for the set, but wanted to ask what you guys think. I can store them, but trying to clean house and I have a lot of stuff I just stuff away to never see again! Here are some pics. The ones I am selling are silver. Gonna try to add pics with car so you can see difference, I think it looks much better with black!

Not sure but I know my wrangler Sahara rims are almost worthless.

Toss them on craigslist. Best results they will fit a bunch of model years.

get boxes that just say Lexus and bump the price 50%

plan B is find a neighbor with similar rims and steal theirs and throw them away in the ghetto then like magic you have yours in factory boxes with a legit story to sell them for 75% of new

plan C if they are aluminum sell them for scrap or make a youtube video cutting them up and making ingots then hope it gets enough views to make it worth it plus sell the ingots

Aluminum is $0.17/lb cast clean aluminum you may get $0.30. I scrapped a damaged rim last month and got 11 crisp one dollar bills.

At $265 for a AEV rim $1k would net a nice 12pack. Not a bad return!!

I get stuck with scrap aluminum as part of my gutter business. I love the cheap pricks who want the old gutters we take off thinking we are making a killing scrapping them. I just say sure no problem and have my guys leave them in a huge pile on their lawn. One guy I actually dumped the previous jobs scrap on his lawn as well. Look on his face You would have thought he hit oil. He called me a week later asking if I would take the mess away for $100.

You could have the standard rims painted black. I just did it for a customer$700 painted and reinstalled.

As far as I know all the black wheels are painted.

I know, but hard to match factory paint. They offered their paint shop doing that, but who knows what yahoo is going to prep them and paint them right!

Keep them for future resale as the black rims may not look so good over time with curb rash / wear / etc

If you lived in the north I would mount snow tires on them for swapping out seasonally

I bought a set of rims and tires, brand new take offs from a Rav 2-3 years ago that I found on Craigslist. I think I paid $300. Came home and installed them, took the old ones off, tires had some life but the other tires and rims were still a lot cheaper than just replacing the tires on the old rims. I put the set on Craigslist and couldn't get $100 for all 4. The only way to scrap them was to remove the tires, so if I did that for $20, I could now scrap the rims for $30. They went in the garbage. Rav was a great car for us but no one around here puts any aftermarket stuff on them.
