I freaking LOVE pickled beets. As a matter of fact, the recipe from my great grandmother resides on the side of the fridge for a reason. Yeah, my mom’s from Perkasie, PA.

I eat homemade beets at least once a week. Never have I peed red or pink. Even when I was in the Philippines (and I probably should have)...

I eat a raw beet every morning. For those who question eating beets, google the benefits. Lowers blood pressure and increases nitric oxide levels which is great for arteries.
Athletes know the benefits and consume them.
if you have a “ sleepy peter” it WILl wake it up! Lowers blood pressure instantly. Very good for you.

oh, and it will make you piss purplish/ pinkish.
stop beets for a day. Drink plenty of water. Piss before bed.
first piss of next day should be clear. If still pink go dr. Beyond 2 days beets shouldn’t affect urine color.

I live right outside of Perkasie. We pickle beets and eggs all the time.

Native? We still own my grandparents’ house on N 5th and Callowhill. He was Santa for YEARS at the Perkasie firehouse. Worked at Shelley and Fenstermacher. I have fond memories of the old hardware building as a small child and remember when it burned down. I used to help my grandmother make pickled beets. I have a gallon mason jar of pickled beet juice eggs in the beer fridge!

You held it from March to December? Damn, you've got a good bladder. And you should probably poop more.

yes, grew up in the area. My wife’s grandfather was also a member of the fire company I remember sitting off ridge rd watching the fire that day.
