Me and a buddy ate some red pistachios years ago, lots of them playing golf on the computer (dos based I might add) on all nighter.

Day later I go to wipe and my heart stopped.
Start freeking out...thought my insides were coming out.

Call him up (on the land line) and before I say anything he starts telling me he was bleeding...he was dying, it instantly clicked that it was the dye from the shells.

Scary day though. So we went out clubbing that night.

The only thing more lame than playing "real" golf, is playing it on a computer, and eating nuts with a bunch of dudes

It's either blood or it isn't. Simple dipstick test at Dr. If blood, plan B.

For green or blue poop; there’s a Gatorade that will color it for you. Can’t remember the flavor.

Beets can turn urine red or pink, mores in children than adults. But you need to see your primary care doc or a urologist to follow up. Bladder cancer is one diagnosis that can present with the same sign (pink urine). A simple urinalysis can reveal whether there is blood in the sample you provide. If that sample is positive, you definitely need further evaluation. If the sample is negative for blood, you may still need further evaluation as bleeding from urinary tract malignancies can be intermittent. If the urine sample you provide is pink and tests negative for blood, then it's highly likely to be the beets. I'd suggest eating some beets they night before you go for your appointment.
Nothing sugar coated here. Yes, I flat out mentioned the "C" word because a cancer diagnosis is in play. You cannot and should not "wish away" that possibility. See your doctor. Most likely diagnosis is beet pigments, but the consequenses of missing a less likely, but far more serious diagnosis are both significant and serious. See a doctor.

I have one of those led lights with a motion sensor that illuminate the toilet bowl at night. It changes color as you are standing there. Get up after having a "few" drinks and look down when it is on the red color and it will freak me out everytime. The white, blue, yellow or green dosen't bother me. But that red sure as heck catches me off guard every time.

last time i had pink urine, I passes a kidney stone the next day... Im not into going to the doctor... Id drink a gallon of water and try flushing it out on my own first. If that doesn't work, then go to doctor... whats another day going to hurt.

Mine was a kidney stone when my urine turned pink to red. It was not pleasant about 5 hours later in the ER.
