Default My Ex Passed away...

Just heard about it, and all the services are done and over with. We didn't have any children together, so there was no real reason to keep in touch. We haven't spoke in at least a decade and went our separate ways well before then. I'm happily married now and have kinds of my own, but it still kind of hits you.

We had some good times, but were just too young and inexperienced to make it work. I'll pour a drink tonight and remember a few of the good times. God rest her soul.

I know damn well I couldn't be that gracious. Every time I write that alimony check I just cringe and grit my teeth.
I don't give a damn if that bitch..., well, I better stop before I get good and cranked up and say too much.

Doesn't sound like she was all that old.

Sorry to hear the news.

Agreed, I’d personally show up with a shovel if it were mine. Kudos to the OP.

47. The cancer got her and I didn't even know she was sick. She had a couple of girls of her own, they are probably around 10-12 right now.

This happened to my wife earlier this year. It’s kinda an odd thing to go through.

Hugs
I've never gone thru this...nor never been married...only 3 10 year relationships....
if you have a heart...which you do....I can imagine how it feels...I dont know the term for it...even if there is one

- removed love existence gone heart loss....maybe

1 more hug and put it in the books....may she rest in peace

It would impact me too..

My first wife endured a lot from me...and when she left, it was time. But God bless her for working so hard at making things work for as long as they did....28 years.

We have two grandkids, so we are around each other often.

If she passes before me, it will have a pretty big impact.

Way too young. My mom died at 50 of the same thing. I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy...

Let's keep in touch and maybe wet a line together some time.

Never been married.

I have several long term girlfriends out there in the world, all of which I am on speaking terms with, all of them are Facebook friends and we occasionally check in on one another.

I'm 49 and all my exes are about the same age or so. It would break my heart to lose one of them at 47 years old. So...I get it.

Sorry for your loss. So many people come in and out of our lives over the years. I often think of this ending scene about our relationships when we are younger.
