This post is NOT to take anything away from our brave military personnel.

Very sad indeed but Why is this happening?
I have my opinions but will keep them to myself.
And the first idiot that says Gun Control blah blah blah needs slapped in the head.
Prayers for all the families of the fallen.

Over 2,400 died in Afghanistan. Over 20,000 injured. Easy to use selective numbers to try and make a point.

The 2400 deaths have been since 2001.
Approximately 100 LEOs lose their lives every year.
Many LEOs are veterans also just FYI..
Thank you all veterans and trust me, I give a chit when someone dies for this country or their community..

Just look at the numbers :
there are around 670,000 Leos in the US (2017 numbers)
there are about 5,000 US troop in Iraq (2019 numbers)
so about 134 times more leos than troops in Iraq.
It really isn't surprising then that the number of Leo deaths would be higher. The death rate per capita is still way higher for troops in Iraq though.

Cracker always posts things to push his point of view without really understanding what he is saying.

Well the perspective you gave was very misleading. You should really check your facts and try to think for yourself before you just regurgitate someone else's skewed views.

And the police have killed 850ish.
At least that's not as many as last year.

Wow that went south quick...Protectors are fighting for the same cause rather it be on the home front or abroad. All Cracker was trying to say is that it's been a deadly year for Leo's. 53% of my department is prior service. Public safety and military 9 times out of 10 are cut from the same cloth.

You can think what you like. Those figures still stand and are quite amazing since we are such a supposedly civilized country. Thank God freedom of speech is still a right...
