My wife and I stay overnight there quite frequently when traveling to see family in MO. We don't do any sight seeing but we do like to eat at a Japanese steakhouse there called Sumo.

When I lived in Memphis, I traveled to and through Jonesboro every couple of days. It's a college town, but back then the county was dry. My buddy had a "private" club there that was hopping on weekends, and the Holiday Inn also had a "private club". They do have some great barbeque restaurants there, however--like Couch's.

The area is very flat and has incredible farms. It's really pretty quiet place to live, and not much to do other than take the 65 mile 4 lane/interstate drive to downtown Memphis.
