So cool! You have a great setup doing that for the winters - something I will seriously consider after retirement!!!

You picked a great area, I had a weekend getaway place in the northwest corner of the forest (hog valley) for 10 years. Had a lot of good times up there when the kids were young. I just sold it this year.

This time of year that could be the official state symbol.

LOL, I used to enjoy doing the night bite thing in November or even into December on Lake Erie, but those days are long gone!

It's not for everyone,.... I surprise myself sometimes that I can live in a an RV for that amount of time but the people I've met and the physical surroundings I get to experience are just fantastic!
Borrowed a trailer from one local to move my golf cart to my campsite from another local who stored it for me. Several beers later, we "got 'er done". Folks here are solid gold!

Best way to do it in my opinion...don't like where you are or want a change of scenery, no problem. If you ever decide you want to leave the center of the state, there is a great camp ground at Ft Desoto.....you can pull your boat up right in front of your camper.

Not to be nit picking, but Salt Springs, the Spring itself , is in the Ocala National Forest. ;-) . Unless he is a campground host there at the campground at the springs, he could only stay for 2 weeks at a time. I suspect he is in a private campground and not in the Ocala National Forest itself given his extended stay.

Either way, I love that part of Florida. Grew up outside of Orlando and spent many a night in the Ocala NF either car camping or backpacking. When we got our first boat and my kids were little, we loaded up the boat with camping gear one spring and found a great campsite along the salt springs run. We were out there for 4 days and day 2 or 3 were awaken by the sound of a dozen or so bass boats ripping up the run before dawn for a bass tourney. Good times.

Enjoy the balmy fall and winter Florida weather. I am trying to figure out how to snow bird it back to my native state too! Lol.

At some point towing that thing around is going to get tired, do you see yourself building a small house when the time comes or just sticiking it out in one location?
