Default Lost my mom

Well, once again going to lay a family member to rest today. Lost my sweet mother last Friday. She suffered from Alzheimer's. Lost my nephew last fall, my father in April, my brother in June, my mother in law in October and now mom. At least she's no longer suffering. Alzheimer's is one terrible disease it's as if they die twice. Love you mom, until we meet again.

FatCat, I'm sorry for your loss. You've had a lot of loss to deal with this year, but it sounds like you are keeping a positive attitude on things. Just remember all of the good times and know that your parents and family would always want the best for you, meaning they wouldn't want your mourning to effect your work/family life. Hang in there and be the best person you can be!

Condolences FatCat. Lost my mom this year too. It's a part of life that is never easy no matter how much you prepare yourself.

I am so sorry for your losses. I'm praying for you and your family. Moms always have a special place in our hearts and no matter how much you attempt to prepare, it is never enough.

Oh man, I'm so sorry for your loss. You have had it tough for awhile.
I lost my mother to Alzheimers 5 years ago. It's a terrible disease.
You and your family will be in my thoughts as I go about my day today.

Sincere condolences on the losses of your loved ones. Reach out to family and friends for support, no need to try to go through this alone. Seek professional help if needed.

I'm both sad and relieved for you at the same time. My mom suffers from Alzheimer's as well and it is every bit as hard on the family as it is on her.

God Bless and God Speed, what a shame this happens to the nicest of people.

It's hard now and although the pain is severe, it will ease in time.
Both of my parents have been gone for some time now.
Prayers.

This song reminds me of them.

OP..Keep yer chin up. My mom passed away a couple weeks ago..dementia. I had to feed her for the last few weeks. Memory care assisted living is indeed depressing...NO quality of life. Just remember she's better off.
