The best friend a guy could ever have is gonna be 14 in a few weeks. That's alot of years for his breed. I attribute it to good living, and a ton of love.

Old dogs are something special. Sounds like he has had a great life.
Looks like a Boxer? If so, yeah, 14 is really old, he is doing great!

Furry friends are the best, whether dog or cat. They love unconditionally and are completely devoted to you. I canít understand how someone could hurt such a loving and giving creature. Enjoy your time together.

I love dogs, and always had them growing up. Had a very traumatic experience putting down my two best friends inside a year of one another. I wish I had a dog now, but cannot bear the thought of doing that again.....Dogs are the best.......You can tell how content your pup is............:):):):)

Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix. I have had 20+ dogs in my life, every single one a rescue, and every one was great, but Curtis is hands down the best dog I have had I all my 55 years.

I'm 66 and every dog I've had was the best dog . . . I guess I've just been God given lucky for sure! I've had to go through the trauma of putting down a friend and swore at the time "never again". . . usually lasts about 6 months.

Enjoy Curtis, he looks like a cool guy!!!!!!!

I thought he looked a lot like a Boxer, but not quite, that explains it. Handsome boy for sure!

We have always had Boxers, 2 currently, 1 is a rescue.

Boxers are great! We had one - only lived for 6 years (cancer). Pete was so full of joy - he couldn't wait to show us when he destroyed the couch or pulled down the curtains or chewed up the remote.

My favorite was when I had spent all day tilling & planting the garden. I went in to wash my hands & looking out the window Pete had dug THE ENTIRE GARDEN 24 inches deep & was just slinging dirt everywhere.

Thing was - he was so full of joy when he did this stuff you just couldn't get mad - you had to just laugh.

My doggo is 12-13ish traveled more places than most people have, dude has swam with dolphins and been fishing 100x with me. Love dogs.

when I poured the concrete for my garage my boxer Lucy promptly came out and stuck one paw and a nose in it. the print is still in the floor. had to put her down at 9 1/2 (cancer) still sucks.

Curtis looks like a beauty of a pup and very content as an elder statesman.

LOL....

one of the very few dogs I have had that never got into stuff (until he hit around 12) gotta watch him now, and he is the only dog I have had that has never seen the inside of a crate. Had him bell trained to go out in 2 days. SMART DOG..

Ok guys let's see you Sr. Dogs. Maybe some now and then pics.

STIPulation 11-12-2019 11:34 AM

Colonel was 2 in the first pic, he's 11 now, which is the life expectancy for an English bulldog. He's getting to be pretty crippled up, so not sure how much time we have left with him.
