Default Caffeine Withdrawal on the Weekends

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone else may have experienced similar. I just read there are a lot of THT caffeine experts on here.

The last two weekends I have felt like crap and just had no energy. Could be just the change of the seasons and maybe even the time change.

I drink 20 oz. of regular coffee each morning that I make between 05:30 and 07:00, usually Folgers at a moderate strength. That's the only coffee I have for the day.

Most weekends I don't drink coffee.

I drink no alcohol and do not smoke.

This has been my routine for the last 3 years.

I am no expert in anything, but if you feel like crap because you need a cup of coffee, get a cup of coffee.

If you have been doing this for 3 years it it probably not the coffee, but I am addicted to coffee.

You fell like crap because your life is boring. Start drinking, go out and score some blow and suck on a hookah for a few hours. You'll be OK.

I look forward to coffee on the weekend with my wife. I have the time to make a couple of good french press batches. Weekdays I sadly rush cups from the keurig and I'm out the door about the time she's getting up.

So...take some time and enjoy good coffee on the weekends!

Weekend caffeine withdrawal is usually indicated by headaches.
FWIW, I'd say just make a cup of coffee and see how it makes you feel.

Try drinking some coffee on the weekend. And drink something better than Folgers so that it’s actually enjoyable. Don’t have to go full fledged coffee snob, but some basic whole beans and a blade grinder go a long way toward better coffee.

I only have one cup per day myself but used to have two on the weekends as an added treat. Been dealing with some A-Fib issues so no more doubles on the weekend. If I went two days without my coffee I would get a wicked headache. Have the coffee and see if it helps. If not maybe you're just bored and need to find something to occupy your time.

Could also be that you are getting older and as a result your energy level is changing. If that’s the case, you’ll need to find a way to overcome that.

Surprising how little caffeine it takes to get hooked. I found that out on a weekend snowmobile trip where all they had was decaf. About halfway through the second day I started to get a headache. It was a bad one and on the way home Monday morning it was so bad i stopped at Mickey D's for a coffee. Within 5 minutes the headache was gone.I drank about 3 cups a day at the time. Didn't put 2 and 2 together at the time, but I was hooked.

I started mixing decaf with my regular coffee.
Started at 50%.
Now I'm at 25% regular grounds and 75% decaf.
No caffeine problems and I can drink as much or as little as I want with no issues.

No headaches to speak of, and my Monster drinking coworkers have the same headaches. I'm just zapped, but it.may be something else.
Cutting out tea altogether and back to 10 oz. Coffee In the morning as suggested.

Altogether this caffeine game people play everyday is crazy. I worked rotating shifts in the past with men drinking energy drinks all night long.....

I need a gallon jug of coffee hung on a IV, just to wake up. After a long day of dealing with STUPID, I need a bottle of whiskey to sedate me. Thru out the day running around outside and smoking packs of smokes cause I need something to do with my hands besides strangle people.
This has been my routine for 30 years. I am not in jail and am not dead yet.

Went from 2 cups to 1 cup a day a few months ago. No big deal.

Im the same way with my cigars, grizzly and alcohol. I don’t “need’ any of it and can stop altogether whenever.
