Wouldn't it be easier to just skip that dock, how is that fun.

I fish docks and own docks so understand both sides. I have no problem with people fishing my docks but it would be great if they had the skills to not cast on my docks or into my boats. There are no fish in either location. Plus it's a pain to have to check the props for their line before using a boat. Maybe I need a sign that says skilled fishermen only. If I couldn't put my lure where I wanted it I would try somewhere else.

Yea, I'm the same way. Just move on. He's just a grouchy old bastard and I don't have time for that
I fish around docks all the time here but if someone's on their dock I move on whether they are fishing or whatever they are doing.

I'm probably near his age. Wish I had a home with a dock on the water. I'd probably be sitting in one of the chairs asking you for fishing info instead of his stupidity. I suspect he was a dick in his youth, too.

It is not fear that moves him, but a heightened sense of anger.

Wondering what the problem is with people fishing near the dock?
I managed a lake house on PK once for some years. Spent many a day there fishing etc and have seen guys do all sorts of things. The only time I’d say something was when they’d leave their boat and walk around on the dock.

When he has those engines running in reverse, should be pretty easy to cast a line a few feet out and it just might get sucked in with the bail open. Just sayin. . .

Strange. I just wave at the fisherman near my dock. I did get annoyed when a crappy caster treble hooked my just replaced vinyl seat on my boat. I noticed when he was getting his lure out of my boat. He hauled ass and has not come back. That is pretty rare though.

Dickheads like that have always perplexed me. Does he consider any fish swimming around that dock his pets?

I’ve had that experience twice. Once was there, once wasn’t. Sucks. I could care less that they fish our point, and I enjoy the free lures from my trees, but not boat damage.

Think I would move on by turning the ass end of my boat toward him , tilt the motors almost out of the water and gassing it

fishing other peoples docks while they are on the dock is just plain being an A$$hole.
fishing other peoples dock at night when they have their lights on is really bad.
we are trying to attract bait and fish so we can fish ourselves.
if they do not leave when asked to I will turn out the lights for them.

doing this with paying customers in the boat is even worse.

if you are getting paid to give the customers a good fishing experience, do not show them what an A$$ you are
. fish where other people are not at

The dock owner for sure is being rather rude but outing his address is just as bad or worse. Move on and fish somewhere else.
