At work we where talking about movies that could not be made them same today.

1. Blazing Saddles...…….. Mel Brooks was awesome. That movie was so wrong on many levels but then again, funny as hell.

I've always said that the original Blues Brothers could never be repeated. Even with a modern cast. It's not wrong, just epic.

Mel Brooks had some really interesting back story on Blazing Saddles, for example Richard Pryor was almost cast as Sheriff Bart but he was too busy filming another film. However, he was an advisor on the set.

There's a lot of older movies like that . I was watching that Clint Eastwood cowboy movie where they paint the town - High Plains Drifter ? In the beginning he basically rides into town and rapes that blonde girl in the barn . I was thinking when I saw this 20 yrs ago I didn't see it that way .

You see what is going on in this country now and Idiocracy doesn't seem as funny as when I first watched it. It looks to be more of a documentary than a movie now.
