I fell for the hype...drove over to Cleveland's hood district...parked, checked my surroundings...lol
darted inside and got in line and after waiting 15 minutes for the 2 people in front of me to order...I hear from the rear of the kitchen..." ain't gots no chicken sammiches "......well dam..so after waiting another 10-15 min to get my 3 chicken tenders I left and headed back through the hood to make my way to my hotel.... something about popeye's..never been In one that was remotely decent..other than a brand new store...most I've seen are filthy and and for a lack of better words...their employees all seem as if they could give a chit less about your order or how long they take...normally, no napkins out, no ice in the machine, floors and tables nasty....at least they got something going for um for a while anyway, the new sammich!

The sandwich is NO BFD. It's a boneless piece of breast, coated in breading on a mayo soaked roll with two slices of pickle. That's it! Chick- Fil-A is a faaaaaaaaaaar better sandwich in every way. Save you time and money.

Well... we have a Popeye's right down the street (we do NOT live in the hood) It always empty. Have always wondered how it stays open.

When the sandwich first came out - as huge Chick Fil a fans- my kids and I did a taste test. side by side. It is very very good.

Side by side they are almost twice as thick and the buns are superior for sure.
The chik fil a owner i met (trying to open a pop up in my campus) says chik fil a is hormone free- Popeye's full of hormones thats why.

So Sunday when it came back out i drove the store. people line out the door and drive thru wrapped around the building 1 1/2 times!

def popular. def a strange first world occurrence.

No BS. When Popeyes first started appearing in Pittsburgh, I walked in one. I'd never eaten at Popeyes before. Went to place an order and was informed they were out of chicken. Never stepped foot in one again.

No chicken sold in the US can have hormones.

If you consider where most of the Popeyes are located and the majority of their client base you can understand this death. Most of the Popeyes in my area are in places where I wouldn't go unless heavily armed.

There's a new Popeyes in Key West and they're remodeling an old Burger King into a Popeyes in Marathon.

So, the Florida Keys are in "the hood" now. Who knew.

I won't go to that one by Westwood it is pretty crappy. I go down plank road to the one by Lidle. Little nicer as far as popeyes go. Chik fil a owner is a liar or misinformed.. Synthetic hormones are not used in chicken production.

I’m really really sorry, I apologize unreservedly. I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.
