Arrow Doughnut muling is apparently a thing

Why would they shut him down? Here in the Bahamas when you fly to Nassau everyone wants some KFC brough back. I swear you could start a fried chicken airline just for that.

I used to do this with Mcdonalds, Burger King, ETC. when I lived in Nantucket. I flew off island a lot.

From the article....

“Krispy Kreme said its primary concern is that the doughnuts Gonzalez sells maintain its "high product quality standards, given the distance and manner in which he is transporting and distributing them." “

KK is just pissed that he’s making money and they’re not. Concerned about “High product quality”...... hahaha. How many times have you reached into the refrigerator and pulled out 4-day old Krispy Kremes and popped them in the microwave or toaster over and chowed down??? People don’t care when it comes to eating a KK donut. They just know they are as addictive as crack cocaine. Good for this guy that he found a niche to make some cash!

Speaking of special flights in the Bahamas....when I took my wife 'n daughter to Staniel Cay Yacht Club, when we arrived and were unpacking, my wife realized she did not have her contact lenses. Rewinding through our heads...we realized they were left behind when being rushed through the security checkpoint at Nassau airport..when we landed from mainland, before getting on the puddle jumper to Staniel.

My wife called her eye doc up here in CT...to have a package rush delivered....because she really doesn't want to use her glasses while out in the Boston Whalers you get there, or diving, etc. She was sooo bummed realizing she'd miss several days until the package arrived.

Dave, the owner of SCYC, told her if she could get the package delivered to a specific location on mainland the next day, he would fly over and get them. Which...he did! The next day, my wife had her package of contacts for the week..and we enjoyed our stay there...best place I've ever been.

Got a link?

this is what I love about corporate culture. Someone shuts him down, PR gets a hold of it when it gets attention and spins it into something else.

Wonder how many others are going to crawl out of the woodwork for doughnut runs now? Long distance grub hub?

https://www.facebook.com/KrispyKremeRunMinnesota/Hi everyone, here is the next important update! I am pumped to announce that I will be able to continue the business soon, and have the support of Krispy Kreme. They want to ensure I become an independent operator and make sure the brand is represented well. On both ends, there are things that are being worked on right now to achieve that as this is being made as a special exception. But nonetheless, we can get started up again soon once certain things are in place. This being said, I am definitely going to need a bigger vehicle with how much this has grown over the past few days. I know a couple of you have asked about a GoFundMe. I decided to create one because I won't be able to cover the costs on my own I realize. Any donation would mean the world to me, no matter how small. Maybe I can decal it with some donut stickers! I am happy that things turned out positive, and this can continue to strive and grow over the next couple of years. I've said it before, and I will say it again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has supported me on this journey.

I'd have bought him a used pro master van, wrapped it and gotten the earned media $ from the story plus lots of free advertising. missed an opportunity here.

They want him to be "an independent contractor" Meaning his own liability insurance do the the exposure of vehicle accidents or liability insurance against someone getting sick. They dont want the liability or lawsuits...

Years ago my sister was flying from Cincinnati to Tampa to see an old girlfriend.
Friend ask for White Castle Hamburgers! So my sister brought a bag of them on the plane in carry on bag.
She said everyone on the plane was sniffing and looking around wondering who had them!
I guess she was a Mule.

food venders need permits and health inspections also, not sure how all of this can happen when he does not have an address for his business in any one or more location.

I have a feeling he will learn somethings about overhead if he has to do a lot of changes and hires people to help
