Default outdoor court lighting

Put in an outdoor half court for the kids and want to set up some lights for night play. Are there any good free standing solar or battery options, or do I need to bite the bullet and get it wired?

I asked a light salesman/distributor the same question for my parking lot. He said to wire that solar would be insufficient and more repair. Maybe and independent panel with a big battery might work

Wired.

that is, if you actually want to be able to see when you have the lights on..

My thoughts on solar is that you have a house with an abundant source of AC voltage and it will always be there for all practical purposes.

solar power is great for when you are expecting to be off grid somewhere. By the time you spend the coin on the solar tech you’v probably spent at least what a permanent wired fixture and installation would cost.
