Default A$&hole stole my parking spot

So Im out on date night this eve.
Rolling in a high end car with my wife.
Parking spot on left opening up.
Space is angled at 45 degrees, versus usual 90 degrees, so tough but not impossible to swing into.
I have my blinker on.
Guy coming from other direction drops his girl off and she runs into restaurant.
Space empties and the douchebag swoops my spot!
I honk my horn, roll down the window and say WTF? To which the guy responds that I needed to do a u turn. Im like so what?? Hes in a Prius. Big young guy. Cocky as f&ck.
Wife tells me to chill and let karma do its job. Im fuming but let it go. I move along and did nothing.
I enjoyed the rest of the night, but still a little tweaked.
I can still picture this fers fave and light blue pos car.

What could I have done to make sure karma did its job (hypothetically, for when I see him or that car again? Kinda small town)

Dude, let it go. It's a parking spot and it's over.

Sounds like you were going the wrong direction for spots on that side anyway....

Karma says you were pulling the wrong way into a spot someone else deserved...

Yes. You were not entitled to that parking space. I have seen citations issued to driver in exactly your situation for "going against the flow of traffic.'
Or wrong way. Of course being in a 'high end car" gives you license to be a "insert comment here."

I almost threw down with a dB like that at IKEA once.. I was in my late twenties and still had some testosterone ... i would not lose control like that now...only thing you can do is let it go...

Your high end machine was headed in the wrong direction. The Prius wins.

You have issues, what difference does it make that "youre driving a high end car"....
You were headed the wrong direction to be "entitled" to that parking spot regardless if you got their first.
We have all been in the same predicament in the past numerous times & common sense & courtesy states give the spot to the car going the right direction, not karma is going to get you....

Dude, chilax. Life is short. I would recommend instead of keyboard vengeance, go have an after dinner copulation w/ your wife.

Hey, the other guy is driving a Prius. He's already got enough problems.

OP: Youre not going to like this. Sorry. Prius guy was in the right place for the spot. Worse, you let him ruin your evening with your wife, such that youre posting about it several hours later! How much power over your emotions are you going to give to a guy driving a Prius? Its over. Take a Sunday drive with your wife in that BMW (?) and enjoy the day!

you should have had the wife get out and stand in his way of pulling into that spot while you tried but could not make a sharp enough turn to get into that parking spot.
Then she should could stand there and keep others out while you drove around to come in at the right direction.
sounds like you did not enjoy much of the rest of the night if you are still ticked off

It is about an attitude, not a parking place, and that never gets over.

Had something like that happen to me before regular 90* parking spots Some jackass and his douche bag butt buddy pull into a spot I'm waiting for with turn signal on I calmly wait for them to get out of the car As they are walking towards me and laughing about the dickhead move they just pulled I said to them. Pretty stupid to pull a move like that then leave your car unattended. Then I slowly pulled away laughing as they stood there not knowing what to do.

would just get over it and go on, but would it have made a difference if the guy that took your parking spot was driving a high end or a higher end car than yours instead of a Prius???

Agree with all the above... who cares about the High end car, any pics of the high end wife ????

The worst part about this for me is that the OP feels the need to mention that he is driving a more expensive car than the parking spot thief as if that makes him better/more important.

Yes, the OP sounds like he was going the wrong way for that spot, but, it does suck when people sneak into a spot that you have clearly been waiting for, regardless of the situation.

Sucks the OP let it affect a nice night out with his wife.
