Default Old School Guys...what do you do if someone uses the F word around your family?

Used to be if someone used the F word around women or children they would sternly get asked to stop or be ready to deliver or suffer a beating. So nowadays...is there anyone else out there that still gets their dandruff up when someone uses the F word around your Lady or your children? If so...what is the appropriate response?
Now....to be clear...I'm not talking about in an environment where the F word is expected (even though I still consider it rude in ANY environment to use around a Lady)...I am talking about places like grocery stores, restaurants, gas pumps, etc...
Thanks

This was discussed a while back when a member posted about using it around kids and someone having an issue with it.

I donít like others using it around my kids, but realistically it isnít my place to stop them. If my kids hear it we may discuss how those words are bad. If itís bad enough I may remove them from the situation. We make sure not to use bad language around the kids and found it trickles into times when we arenít around them. I swear MUCH less now than before kids.

Swearing just doesn't happen around any of our friends, or family members. Everyone knows better, and we're all happier that way.

Life is too short to get worked up about such worry about what strangers are doing in passing.

Nearby table in a family friendly restaurant, I am likely to ask for it to be addressed. Otherwise just leave the situation and let pricks be pricks. I'm not going to make the news for getting into a tangle with a douche bag over something silly when I can simply exit the situation.

Language in today's society has changed so much over the past 40 years, that most "cuss" words are just part of everyday conversation now. I rarely think anything about it anymore....

.....Unless someone says "lynch". Then I go ballistic and lose my mind!

Someone says the efff word around my wife I'm liable to go all kung fu and stuff.
First...I assume the ready position...then, I do some karate moves real fast....dizzy speed.
Then I kick the shit out of the offender and have him arrested and sue him.

You really need to see somebody about acquiring some chill pills. Although many people in society "me included" don't approve of blanden use of cursing. The unfortunate fact is that many people can't form a sentence without including one or several colorful words in it. The right to free speech is a given right and they have the protection of the law to insult you in any way shape or form with their usage of their colorful language.

No cussing allowed in our family, and no two ways about it. Simply don't care what others do, and out in public we simply move away from the turds.

Why can't you say the F word around women? Aren't we all supposed to be equal now or something. I can't remember the last girl I've been with that didn't say the F word too. F'in F

My daughter was telling me last night that there is a bill being pushed in my state right now banning the word bitch, with dire consequences for offenders.
i haven’t confirmed this but anything this state does is not surprising.

I dont lke to hear f bombs in public, but I would simply ignore it. all this PC garbage is being carried way too far.

Nobody was ever handing out beatings for cussing . This is a fantasy that boomers make up to complain about the world today.

Not cussing in public went out the window when all the yankees moved in. Then the TV and radio relaxed their censorship to where they say everything but the F word during the daytime. And now that the internet is so common that a three year old can pick up an iPad and log on you can't hardly screen anything from the kids.
