Cheap, safe? Tough request. Consider staying on Disney property.

doing that the test of the trip. Driving down Friday and first day in park is Saturday. No hotel availability on property for Friday night. Literally rolling in late and need a place to lay down. Amenities and activities are of no concern.

Look on 535, apopka vineland road, just east of lake Buena vista and Disney springs. Lots of hotels and restaurants on that road.

GayLord Palms. About $250 a night and worth the money. Few miles from the entrance of Disney. Buses in the morning heading to parks and in the late afternoon to bring you back. If you don’t have the yearly passes you pay $25 to park inside Disney.

Google

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando Airport North

Stayed here a couple weeks ago for business. It's was convenient and has nearby restaurants. It's by the airport, but noise was not an issue. It's cheaper, I payed around $100.00 with taxes, than hotels closer to Disney. It's probably a 20-25 minute drive to Disney World from the hotel.

We have parking at disney already covered. Literally will be arriving at the hotel about 10PM, and leaving by 6:30 AM the following AM. Luxury and nearby attractions or ties to disney are not a concern at all.

I would stay at the Marriott Village, you have a Courtyard, Springhill Suites & Fairfield all in the same property. Springhill Suites is probably in the $100 range.

I do a lot of work around ormond beach and stay at the sleep inn by 95 a lot. Would put you about 1.5 hours away from Disney I think.

wyndham lake buena vista is directly across the street from Disney Springs. It's around $100 a night. I think it has transportation to the parks. We will go there for the first night of a Disney vacation and then stay on property the remainder. If you're looking to do it on a budget this may be a good option

My choice would be Grand Cypress. Stay around Disney Springs or you could go north a bit on International Drive and stay around Sea World. Tons of hotels where International ave meets Universal ave. Take you pick. It’s the tourist district so no worries about security.

I love The Point near I-Drive. You can rent a nice, clean 1 br suite for about $145/nt and a 2br suite for maybe $165/nt. Rooms are $130/nt or so. The lobby is not much to speak of but the pool and the poolside bar are nice. These suites are fully equipped apartments to include more closets than you will even be able to find, a kitchen (as opposed to a kitchenette), and even a washer/dryer. A room with a view of the pool also has a view of that huge ferris wheel. To me, it's the best value in Orlando.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East in Kissimmee when I was on a budget business trip a year ago and really liked it. Would stay there again if $ were an issue; heck might stay there again even if they weren't.

I like to stay on the property, I think it is worth the money especially if you have young kids.

I've stayed there twice last year on work trips. Very nice for the price and the area is sketch free.

Go on Booking.com and look for properties on International Drive. Many are very well priced.
