Buy your wife some new shoes.

Take it to a place that repairs shoes and boots. Around here, they'd charge about $5 to fix that.

I use shoe goo often. Most flops don't take the abuse I give them and it works great.

3m 5200. Why isn't this everyone's go to on tht?

Zardoz 10-17-2019 12:16 PM

I've used 5200 to fix shoes before. It actually worked pretty well.

schoolsout1 10-17-2019 12:27 PM

I've only used shoe goo and have been pleased with it.

I usually use cash, which I give to a retailer for new shoes....LOL

Perhaps if you have one open, that stuff is spendy otherwise.

I used Gorilla glue on a pair of boots that the heel peeled off of. Did it 5 years ago, still using them to chop wood and yard work.

Only here on tht, some guys buying $500,000 boats and $80,000 pickup trucks to pull them with for cash money, or my favorite ( cash in hand ). And some of us are gluing our damn shoes together.

armstrong armaflex 520 contact adhesive- don't be a wussy and get the low VOC stuff. Look for the real thing.

If I spend $80 on flops that fall apart and fix them for $3, what's wrong with that? Wasting $ helps you how?

you notice I said some of us, that means me included. But 80.00 on flip flops, wow

Shoe Goo. I repaired a pair of dress shoes about a year ago that a cobbler said couldnít be fixed. Still going strong.

Selective with what to waste money on. I donít see an inconsistency.

OK so where is the next question, how do you prep/clean the surfaces that you glue back together for the repair?
usually lots of dirt or other stuff in there after they start coming apart
