Things your significant other does that make you...

say WTF.

Went to bed last night. Woke up in the middle of the night and had to pee. I get up and make my way to the bathroom and on my way I hit my shin on something. Hard. Like I need to check for blood hard. I hobble to the bathroom, conduct my business and make my way back to bed, carefully. Come this morning and I find a full laundry basket on the floor right in my path to the bathroom. Hard plastic basket full of clean laundry so reasonably heavy. Heavy enough to not move much when my shin smacked right into it. I have not asked wifey why in the world she chose to put the basket in that position after I went to bed. I am sure there is no legitimate reason. Other than maybe it was a booby trap. She sure was successful in catching her booby if so.

Argh

Wife does the same with vacuum cleaner cords. Drives me bonkers! I keep telling her your taking care of me after the broken hip...or worse. Maybe she's planning for the worse.

That is her way of asking you to put the laundry away

The nerve of your wife to stay up doing laundry when you went to bed. I'd be mad too  j/k

So your going to bed while she is up doing laundry and you wonder why she put the basket there. When you ran into it did you hear her giggle?

Open cabinet doors and dresser drawers. Drives me NUTS. I've given in, kind of. I have relegated myself to walking around the house all day and night closing cabinets and hoping I don't miss one and find it with my forehead. #lostmymancardyearsago

My wife has been in an argument with the dishwasher since we have met. It always wins. She seems to believe that it is packed with honey badgers that will come out a scour dried on lasagna cheese etc. She completely overloads it with dishes that just dont stand a chance and then is shocked when they arent clean. lol. She then proceeds to laugh at me when I hand wash heavily soiled things and load it "normally". But when I do the dishes, the washer only runs once. :)

Too many to list....my GF keeps the cable box hidden underneath the TV stand because she thinks keeping it on top looks bad (decorating wise). Depending on where I am in the room, I have to lower the controls to ground level to change the channel. Drives me nuts, especially on Saturdays when I am switching back and forth between college games.

My wife leaves lights on during the day or in rooms she is not in. Her parents do it also. Now our kids are doing it. :banghead:

Biggest complaint of late has been that she goes to sleep earlier than the kids. Then gets annoyed when I wake her up.

Oldie but a goodie

I can't think of any...

Boat Bum 10-16-2019 09:34 AM

Squeezes the toothpaste in the middle of the tube.
Will just rip a bag open and not the way it was packaged to be opened.
Will stick her finger through the foil under the cap of whatever it is; e.g. ketchup, and then complains it doesn't come out right. She'll then put it back, left squeezed in the middle.
Leaves her shoes everywhere, well, only where I walk.

more later...

Nothing, nothing at all! My wife is perfect, and if i say otherwise I will no longer be allowed to use the computer or the remote!!!!

YeOldeStonecat 10-16-2019 09:42 AM

Lights on in many rooms all the time...
Keurig coffee maker still on when I come home from work...
TV's on in various rooms even when she's not even near that room for at least half a day...
Heater and/or AC on, windows often still open. Space heater on in her office.

...and she complains the 'lectric bill is so high!!!!!! :bashhh:

lazyboi1212 10-16-2019 09:50 AM

This sounds bad... but telling me about her day at work. Basically it's a 2 hour bitching session every night about this person, that person, he said, she said, they did this, they didn't do that. Doesn't matter the job, she's' been doing it for 20+ years. Then I'm the a-hole that doesn't respond in kind and god forbid I disagree with her. Honestly sometimes I'll side with the other person so she'll get mad at me and shut up for a few hours.

Boat Bum 10-16-2019 09:51 AM

She turn the heat to 90 thinking it will reach 70 faster.

SHE GONE 10-16-2019 09:54 AM

Got rid of that problem 2 years ago, never been happier.....

Strike1 10-16-2019 09:58 AM

This will go to at least 15 pages... if not 20...

Takes something out of fridge (mustard, mayo, salad dressing, etc) , opens it and puts lid/cap down, walks to other side of kitchen and uses it, then complains that she can't find the lid/cap.

Calls her father every night (he's a newish widower, so that's ok) and finishes the conversation while coming upstairs to bed. Three days later, there are 4 phones on her nightstand and she is downstairs complaining that she can't find a phone to call her dad.

Refuses to get out of bed in the AM until I've yelled to her 3 times. Its not 30 minutes after I first woke her up. Now scrambles to get out the door for work, yells at me to make her breakfast because she's so late... then complains that the stress in the morning is too much...
