Our kitchen has a door to the garage and there's a door that's 5 feet away going to the backyard. I keep the trashcan right outside the garage door in the backyard. My old lady couldn't be bothered to take 10 extra steps to put a full trashbag into the can. She just leaves it on the garage floor and complains about the smell everytime she has to go into the garage.

This but mine tends to leave all doors open. Goes out front to water the plants and leaves the door open in 90 degree heat. "It only took a few minutes". I can't tell you how many times I've hit or almost hit my head on open cabinet doors. She also takes all the free water bottles that come around. She has drug reps bring them all the time. God forbid I bring up the stockpile though.

Ok, theres a lot but I'll give the condensed version. She takes the daughter to the bus stop because I'm a nightowl so the dogs follow her out and she doesn't wait to put the little A-hole one back in. So I'm up stairs trying to sleep and that little bastard is scratching and barking and its still darkish outside.
This one is small but repetitive. Every night, on her way to bed, it never fails she tells me to turn the TV down. "Its on the same thing its been for the last 10 years!!!!"
Now me on the other hand, I'm trying to evolve. I've learned to cook a whole meal using 1 pot. (instapot)

My soon-to-be ex-wife? I'd love to answer this question, but I choose to refrain lest the full depth of my rage bubble to the surface. I'll just pop another cymbalta and say a prayer instead.

Man this thread is revealing a bunch of divorces incubating!!

I always thought that if your wife doesn't drive you crazy over SOMETHING then you must have married a MAN!

I find most of the human race kinda annoying so I've learned to overlook a lot with the one I married. Probably the secret to making it 36 years so far, is in knowing I'm no prize package in many ways either!

The door thing must be all women. Drives me crazy

Doesn't screw lids on things so when I pick them up everything spills

Doesn't throw away trash or on general clean up after herself...candy wrappers are constantly all over the house

Doesn't put things back where they go so when I need something I can't find it

Hides the remote in a different spot every single time so i can't find it...then neither can she and we have to waste time looking

Won't keep her credit cards in her wallet like a normal human. Misplaces constantly, takes mine without telling me so I'm hosed when I go to pay for something

Half asses laundry and kitchen cleaning when it's her turn
Loads the dishwasher like someone who has no idea what it is or what it does.

the list goes on and on and on. I love her to death, but she is an absolutely horrible housekeeper, extremely disorganized and pretty much a slob to be honest. Doesn't bother her one bit but it stresses me out and she knows this but won't change so I've given up. And no she doesn't do all the housekeeping but she sure makes it harder than it needs to be for us to keep things organized. Diaper bags are always a mess after I've organized them so I can never find anything...and as you know, when you need to find something in a diaper bag, you NEED to find something in the diaper bag PRONTO!

OH! And the absolute biggest thing that makes me literally want to bash my head into the wall, and I bitch at her every single time and it always results in her getting pissed...she, for some reason, won't throw the effing lint away from the dryer and instead sits it on top of the shelf to collect when it's her turn to do laundry. Gentleman...I have no answer for this

She's a great woman but a pain in the ass to live with.

I, by contrast, am absolutely perfect and have no discernable quirks to drive her crazy.

The wife never throws away receipts, she'll buy a loaf of bread and keep the receipt till she has a mountain on the counter then she will got thru the huge pile and wind up keeping maybe three.

God forbid I comment on how good that new recipe was, because I'll be having it like twice a week for 3 months.
Don't get me wrong I love her to death.

Someday I'm gonna figure out why it takes 3 pots, 4 lids, 5 wooden spoons, a colander and 2 cutting boards to heat up a GD can of soup.

Two things. One (already mentioned above), the lids never get screwed down on anything. I have now adapted to this and never pick up anything by the lid. Always the bottom. Learned that the hard way after several epic fails. Second, the woman is more than slightly hard of hearing and can't hear any low or high pitched sounds whatsoever, even if it goes off right next to her head. There is one exception to that hard of hearing rule. Without fail, she can hear me fart from a mile away and calls me on it every time.

Only things that really make me say WTF is when she gets annoyed at me for things, that she does as well...

Dishes in the sink. She hates when I do and it complains. Without fail every other day or so she leaves something in the sink.

Leave clothes on the bathroom counter. It’s a large counter (over 6’ long with only one sink so tons of counter space) and she had a gripe a while back about me leaving things out that I planned to wear the next morning. I guess it was in her way. She leaves clothes on the counter every day and night, without fail.

Talk with food in my mouth. She does this from time to time, but is sure to point it out and stop me if I ever get caught doing it.

I have attempted to point out the inconsistency between what she does and what she doesn’t want me to do. Didn’t end well, lol.

Wife is super diligent about labeling all the food in the frig as she repurposes containers. Only problem is it’s all in Korean.
