I bought a set of 4 tires and rims for my F150 from Carid. Package deal. BF Goodrich AT and HT tires. Been noticing some vibrations since installed (less than 500 miles ago). Hadn't been out on highway until this week. Vibration really bad over 65-70. Stopped at my local tire ship where I have gone for 30 years. He said even before he took them off that they would be out of round. Said he sees a lot of out of round tires on internet package deals, particularly with BFG. Balanced the fronts (HT), but said they were both out of round. Showed me while they were spinning. Back ones (AT) - he wouldn't even try to balance the first one it was so bad. Just assumed the other rear would also be bad.
Called Carid. They do NOT warranty their tires or wheels!!! Only manufacturers warranty. Said I had to go to a place that has "RoadForce" balancing and get the printed report. Then, maybe BFG will give me new tires. So, I have to pay for this ridiculous expensive balancing. The word of my other tire guy apparently is no good.
Don't buy tires from Carid!!!

most likely the reason it was such a deal, is the tires were factory seconds.
pay the price stick with the tire guy that is going to take care of you!

But its cheaper on the internet.
My local tire guy raised his prices for put ons bought somewhere else. He raised the price to 100 per tire. Said he hasn't mounted a tire purchased elsewhere for over a year.
Said guys will bitch and moan and he just laughs. Tells them to call Amazon.
Said he never gets anything from those customers. They will want free rotations etc. Then they will just buy tires off the internet next time they need them.

My tire mounter and balancing machines costs me over $10K used from Mac...when the internet buyers come in and bitch about $25 per tire to mount balance...I tell them go where you bought em!
When they ask to reset the tire light using my $6,500 SnapOn scanner for $35....they get the same response....equipment tools technology and my time costs $$$$
I sell new tires for $35 over my costs which include mounting balancing light reset and a vehicle inspection while in the air...mans gotta eat too!! Lobster once a year...I ain't greedy...I got a wall full of paper that people owe me...I could repower with a brand new Zuke 175 if I collected it all...

disagree....that's putting a bandage on a soon to be compound fracture....the belts are already comprised and either the warping will return or a belt pops or snaps causing a larger issue....reason for tire lights now due to ford and the shitty tires they used prior
And the puppy is a miracle
And the puppy is a miracle

I bought tires from TireRack a while back then paid my local guy $100 to install with his fancy balancer. Sure enough, 2 were out of round, unbalanceable. Called TireRack they sent me 2 more and a return label. They were fine. Still a PITA so I quit buying tires online.

I've got a Fuel hostage rim that is out of true, every damn time I change tires I have a horrible wobble and shake. There is a place in Sanford that trues tires. The place works miracles. My truck drove like a Cadillac for 60,000 miles until I just replaced them with BFGs. Rolled out of the tire shop and made a call to the Sanford truing shop the next day. Damn frustrating.

In the 80s. Opened my own place in 2000. People like to gamble on the crap they buy off the internet if I tell them it will be higher labor to install the parts they supply they get pissed if I tell them that the part is defective they are going to pay twice to have the job done they get pissed so I just tell them I guarantee all my work 12 months or 12,000 miles and I can't do that with their parts they don't get as pissey and some come back.
