For those interested, I recently found a really cool website called Dead of the Day. Every day they list a selection of shows that were played on that date over different years. They highlight one show, but you can see/listen to any of them. Nice way to get your fix.

https://gratefuldeadoftheday.com

Enjoy!

I remember when Bobby started doing Jerry songs again with Ratdog, people complained. I went and saw them and I was just happy that I got to hear songs again that have a role in my life and mean something and that I really thought I'd never hear again. Songs that take me back to specific times and places, often with people that are gone and that I miss.

Same thing with each iteration of Bobby, Phil, Billy & Mickey's bands together and solo. I did not know Jerry personally, but I cannot believe that he would ever have wanted "his songs" to die with him. That's not even addressing whether he would have even considered them "his songs" versus the bands songs, or more likely, OUR songs. Songs that can be played by Meyer and Oteil and anyone else who enjoys them and can spread that joy to us.

See any and all of them whenever you can. Rock on... you know our love will not fade away.
An old friend died last Sunday night. He played a lot around the mountains for 30 years.
We are going up there to celebrate.

They went into Fire On The Mountain.

When they sang Fire.
Fire on the mountain. Lightning struck behind stage right and the crack of thunder blew us all away.
This might interest you. One of my friends was a skier in a small bit part in this.

Intrinsic, monetary, or legendary?

Got a Watkins Glen shirt?
