Charley's Steakhouse. Excellent traditional American steakhouse, albeit with some showmanship $$$

Pio Pio, nice Peruvian place, the rotisserie chicken is awesome.

Camilla's nearby Pio Pio is a Brazilian buffet, casual, family friendly

I enjoy eating at Rock n Brews by the airport when I’m in town for business. It’s a chain but I like the vibe.

In addition to Fogo de Chao, there are also some traditional high end chain steakhouses in Orlando: Del Frisco, Flemings, Ruth's Chris, The Palm, Capital Grille, Morton's, Bull & Bear and Shula's. Of those, I like: Del Frisco, Fleming's and Capital Grille in that order.

We normally eat on property when we stay. Le Cellier at Epcot has great steaks, Cape May has a seafood buffet to rival the best at Myrtle Beach and Ohanas is one of the best values there.

There are a ton of good restaurants on Disney property Boma and Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge are good. Disney Springs has a ton of good places.

One of my faves is Santiago's Bodega Great tapas place.

Johnnies Hideaway at the Crossroads is good, but a little fancy.

Tasty Wok was sold a while back. Old owners opened up a new place further east on colonial called Peter's Kitchen. They were also the owners of Ming's Bistro but sold it also.

My favorite on property, not necessarily in order of preference:

Le Cellier - very good steakhouse in Canada pavilion of EPCOT
California Grill - top of the Contemporary Resort; great place to watch Magic Kingdom fireworks (I also got engaged here)
Jiko - great African inspired cuisine at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Narcoossee's - pretty cool restaurant at Grand Floridian overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon; good for Magic Kingdom fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant, an on-water parade of lit up displays.
Flying Fish - I haven't been since it was redone, but was always very good seafood

Landry's is a big restaurant holding company who has over 60 different restaurants with 600 locations nationwide. They are mostly "high end" chains but have a few single location restaurants and some more middle of the road chains like Joe's Crab shack, The Landry's in Katy, TX was their first restaurant. LI32 mentioned Morton's as a "high-end" steakhouse and that is one the Landry chains. One of their newer restaurant chains they have started building is a Western Steakhouse called Saltgrass and they have two in Orlando (on Vineland and International). More on par with Longhorn but better. I am a big Porkchop fan and I think theirs is as good and anybody's I have ever had even at twice the price...……….and this is a picture of the one I had last time I was there...….no it is not a bone in Ribeye.

Johnnie's HIdeaway is good and not normally too packed. It is a Charley's owned restaurant (which is also good).

If you like deep dish pizza Giordano's is the place. They have two locations in Orlando. But you need to be aware that it is not fast food. Takes like 40 minutes to cook. Might no go over well with the kids.

Do not drive an hour to go to Dixie crossroads in titusville It's ok, not worth an hours drive. The catfish place in st. Cloud is as good if not better and much closer to Orlando.

There are quite a few good eating joints in Disney Springs. Also, Olivia's is another good place inside Disney at Old Keywest resort. We will be down there ourselves in November.

I agree with this one. If you're going to drive that far, eat at the Fat Snook or The Garlic in NSB. Aside from those two, very little on the coast justifies a 1hr drive from Orlando given all the good food in Orlando.

I was gonna recommend Emeril's Tchoup Chop, but I see it closed a couple years ago. I don't get to Orlando much, I guess. Interesting thread.
