So many college stories. But I will not derail any further than offering this gem of advice. When attending a keg party try to become the tap man at least for a little while. Most do not like the job, but I found it was a great way to always have a full beer and meet every single female at the party.

But PJ on tap is pretty badass IMO

i have to agree with you!

are there easier options? yes there are plenty of options that are easier and cheaper! you will learn to take those roads as you age! for right now, building a tap dispenser for pj ( in reality it hunch punch ) for your college parties is bad ass and you will be known for it!

on a side note, college kids are going to party, its just a fact! the trick is just be smart about it! 90% of us have been there and done that, although the stakes are a lot higher today vs 20-30 years ago!

Fixed it for you. I graduated in 2009. Even that relatively short time ago, you could do stupid stuff and not end up plastered on a viral video. Times have changed in the last decade. Things follow you now 100x more so than then.

I know folks on here in particular like to denigrate the youngins for being stupid, but all you old farts (not pointed at you Roland, just a general statement) did the same crap, it's just no one was carrying around their Sony camcorder on their shoulder and distributing VHS copies of the documentation to everyone including WRAL news.

Nowadays you have to assume EVERY action you take is being recorded...hell it's probably being freaking live streamed in full HD! That simply was not the case when I was in school a relatively short time ago so I cannot relate to today's college kids.

And the most important thing to remember...everything on the internet is forever, even if you "delete" it. This is particularly relevant as it pertains to background checks. When you go to get a job, they WILL find everything linked to your facespace, twitterbook, instasnap...whatever. and YouTube videos.

Gotta think way ahead nowadays anymore. And as an 18-21 year old, that's damn near impossible...I don't care if you're a Boomer or a millennial or a...whatever the new one is...

You go to the parties, you don’t host the parties. Especially when you are talking 100’s of people. Always know where the exits are, park the car a block away. My dad was a cop I wasn’t getting caught drinking underage. I know what we used to get away with 16-17 years ago would be a ride to the jail now. Not too mention how litigious Florida is.

I was average. My dad didn’t mess around. I will say one year in high school some idiots had a party on a road. Neighbors called the cops. I swung by not realizing the party had already been busted. I was the only car that didn’t get stopped. Apparently the deputies started telling the kids lined up that they should have rode with me. They called everyone’s parents. One friends mom brought his little sister so that she could see all the screwups. I loved hearing about it on Monday at school.

Agree with this 100%. I'm a few years older, but just to emphasize how much the world has changed since 2009. The iphone was released to the public in 2007. It, and other smart phones didn't really become prevalent until 2010/2011 or so. Sure there was blackberry and a few others before that, but they didn't have the real time social media connection ability that iOS and Android phones have brought to prevalence. Nor were the LEO's villagently monitoring social media, etc., to get ahead of busting such parties. It's a win-win for them and the town. Publicity about keeping the town safe (debatable, but popular in the public's eye), and big $ tickets a-plenty, mostly written to folks that have the means (or their parents do) to pay them.

Yea, didn't even realize I was bleeding until it was running into my shoes...massive scar, that I of course didn't have checked out by a doc.

Nah on the TWW, I'm only on a couple of discussion sites.

Haha...naturally.

I was on posting TWW for only a short period, mostly just lurked. It was like ThT x10 except for it went mostly unmoderated. This was back around 2005...I mostly used "school tool" to pick professors and classes. It was amazing how much data was available.

TWW was also single handedly responsible for hacking into WRALs school closings and delays listings and putting such gems as "Touching Kids Daycare Closed" and other much worse titles. Bunch of software engineers sitting alone in their dorms...anything can happen.

It's also where I got most of my news during that time, sorta like here. I know if at least once instance where WRAL ran with a story and it had already been detailed on TWW the day before...they literally copy and pasted verbatim from the forum.

It was the wild west back then. And we wonder why WRAL and Raleigh N&O hates N.C. State.

LOL I was going to post exactly this. This is what we did in college for girls and JJ. Handle of what ever was cheap, half a bag of ice and equal parts Sprite and Hawaiian Punch until it was filled to the top.
