Default Any other "weather nerds" on THT?

Just wondering how many of us have weather stations and like to follow/watch trends etc. Critical for fishing, but also kind of neat when there's BIG weather as well... We just put our Davis Vantage Vue online with their weatherlink software which made my retired father very happy as he can constantly check on how his son is doing "down there somewhere in Florida"...

Davis Weatherlink for our house

(Note the outside humidity sensor is getting flakey, I have a new one, just wanted to make sure Dorian didn't blow the whole thing off the roof before I replaced it)

Anyone else, we could maybe create the THT weather network....

I've been a weather geek since my early 20s when I was an avid surfer. My daughter is too and almost went into Meteorology until she saw how much Physics and Calculus was involved. Now she's just a weather geek like her dad!

I have this Airguide Indoor Weather Station that was my grandfather's by my front door.

Calculus and physics eh? Missed my other calling perhaps.

Have to be somewhat of a weather geek with work. More about understanding how factors affect surface winds, humidity, and temperature, and planning around the forecast.

I am a meteorologist, worked in research for a long time. Even got paid to chase tornadoes with the folks in Norman, and led a waterspout research team stationed in Key West. Luckiest person in the whole world, because my career was my interest. I have a modest station at each of our places, but neither has good exposure. Links to every decent met site are on my “desktop”, and still have a few friends at the NHC who I can contact “back channel” for their thoughts. Kelly Bundy on “Married with Children” did the best TV weather girl ever!
