Talking What are some of the dumbest things you heard regarding Dorian coverage?

I almost spit out my coffee when the county news officials were giving out the do's and don'ts to keep us safe:
"Do not use your gas grill indoor"

The first day they announced it was a hurricane someone filled there gas cans and set them next to there has water heaters. He burnt his house down. It was almost a week ago at this point. Felt bad for him but damn.

Thats not exactly a bad idea, I know we have gas stoves and such but we had a guy in our neighborhood catch his garage on fire using his grill inside it. Why, he was cooking a bunch of greasy burgers and the flame went up his wall, wall was already hot with grill being right next to it. Just so he didnt have to grill in the rain.

You laugh but I swear I have read of people dying from running their generator indoors...

Every winter up here, we get 1 or 2 that try and heat their houses with gas stove or a grill. Never ends well and sadly almost always children involved.

Happens every year up here if we have a snow storm and loose power. Either someone dies because they had their generator inside or someone's house burned down because they were using a kerosine heater

I understand the generator statements, but bringing your grill in the house? Come on. Reminds me of a Chicago cop I knew that said a certain breed of people used to barbecue in their bathtubs in the old Cabrini Green housing projects...True he witnessed it.

Dorian is evidently so powerful, it already knocked Alabama completely off the map. So says CNN anyway.

Many grill in their garage. Even with the doors open, this is not bright. Fire risk as well as carbon monoxide risk.

I heard a newscaster say that the average human could walk faster than 5mph, which at the time was the speed at which Dorian was traveling. Have any of you tried to "walk" faster than 5mph before?

Moron interviewing a person in the Bahamas. You could see the trees waving wildly and the reporter asks “ what would happen if you opened the window “

Sorry where I come from the indoors is where you live and the garage is a garage. Like I said I get the generator in the garage idea for some retards who would respond 'they said not to run it in the rain.'

Heard on CNN the Hurricane Dorian was causing "rain and high winds". Isn't that the definition of a hurricane?

I smile every time I hear the phrase from the outside weather wonks announces,"the sea is angry". Shades of Seinfeld " The sea was angry that day, my friends - like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli".
