That would be " in and wait" burger, we have one here, never eaten there, doesn't stack up to Dukes

Reminds me very much of institutional "mystery meat" burger. If not the worst burger I ever had it was pretty darn close. I will not bother trying another one.

I’ll agree to disagree. The 5 guys bun is way too sweet, too many conflicting options and the foil wrapper is a disaster as they disintegrate in your hand.

Any burger place that is better known for fries about says it all.

You seem to be a bit critical of a place you've never eaten at.

Well legend has it, there is an In N Out in Houston now, but from what I've heard it's not the same as the real deal ones in California. Guess I'll have to give it a go and be the judge of that when I feel like In N Out again

Ate at the In N Out just off the west end of LAX several times when getting ready to return rental car . . . MEH . . .

Tried the one in Temecula . . . MEH

Tried the one in North Fort Worth across the highway from Carswell . . . equally MEH

I've tried 'em enough in enough different locations to say I gave 'em a REAL chance and overall . . . MEH

In N out fries just suck, stopped caring about Whataburger when they sold to a Chicago investment firm(just my choice) I started looking for the locally owned burger joints and I sure am glad I did, I have discovered a whole new level of great food by checking out the family joints in my area and now when I travel and want a burger or any other food for that matter I look to the local family joints.

Whataburger all failed in Florida and went out of business. In N Out out never had the balls to try. So what does that tell you? 0 confidence that their product would succeed.

They just opened one by Katy Mills mall and another one I think in Stafford. The Katy one is on the I-10 frontage road West bound just before the mall.

We waited for 30 minutes at the Stafford location yesterday. My son really wanted it. Worth it. I love whataburger, but In and Out has the superior burger.

I have had both but didn't read the entire thread. Did anyone mention Krystal yet?
If it wasn't for Krystal I would have died back in the late 70's.
