I’d give the nod to WB, but I don’t eat as many burgers as when I was younger. When I do, it’s Beck’s Prime in Houston. I guess they’re fast foodish because they have drive-thrus. Burgers are really good.

My burger made with 75/25, sauteed mushrooms, onions, and cheddar.

You guys eat hat fast food crap. I'll stick to the local joint making homemade burgers. Fast food 20 minutes after your sitting on the toilet.Someone had to get that said.

After hearing all of the hype, I tried my first in and out burger when I took my wife to Las Vegas in July. It was ok but nothing special. Still don't understand why people think it's so great.
I'd rather have a Flanigan's hamburger or even a Jack's anyday over the in and out. Never heard of Whataburger. I guess us South Floridians are missing out. (not)

The one thing I noticed about In-N-Out burger was the freshness of the vegetables. I voted for In-N-Out. As a Texan, I will say that Whataburger is rather mediocre at best, and in the Houston area, I have not found a W-Burger that was not filthy inside or run by some of the most degenerate humans I have come across. I try to avoid them as most costs.

If you ever had a Culvers Butter Burger, I think it puts both of these to shame. 5 guys is probably a close second, but their fries suck. In-N-Out a distant 3rd. W-Burger not even on the list.

This is comparing either national or large regional brands.... I think the BEST burgers to be found are at the one-off mom and pop hole in the wall greasy spoon type of place.

We have been eating In/Out for years and they hands down are better Burger to Burger than Whatacardvoard.

If you get Whatacrap with fancy crab they are edible, Otherwise no!!!

I'm not voting since I've never had Whataburger. But used to have In and Out regularly back in college days in Gainesville. They were affectionately known as stroke burgers by the students.

THIS . . .

In N Out is by FAR the best. They will make things the way YOU want. I always ordered my fries EXTRA well done ("set off the smoke alarms if you have to") They are so hot you have to wait a few minutes before you can handle them and do NOT eat right away - you will burn the roof of your mouth. However, they will be crispy and fresh. Many items not on the menu. Ask.

Mouse jumps into deep fryer at Whataburger.

My vote is for In- N-Out.......no mice killed during food preparation.

Hands down, the best burger I have ever had in my life. They use local Wisconsin Swiss and Cheddar cheese and some kind of special sauce, I think it has crack in it.

We have most of the places mentioned here in Tucson. In/out, 5 guys (pricey), Whataburger, Smash burger, Habit, Culver's, etc.

I went with in/out. Double double, animal style with well done animal style fries. Their stuff is never previously frozen and, hands down, the best "fast food" burger.

None of those two burger joints near me, however we do have a 5 guys in town. I like 5 guys. Good burger for the money IMO. One thing I like about 5 guys is that they slice their jalepeno's fresh. I love fresh jalepenos on a burger.

Florida had several many years ago. At least 3 that I remember. Then one day they all closed up. I remember driving by the one in Tampa one day early, came by a few hours later and plywood over the windows

The whataburger Secret ingredient just was exposed. Now you know why it tastes like it does.

The In N Outs in Florida were not the same company as the California chain.

I guess my bottom line is, that when we go back to Texas, we don't go to Whataburger. When we go back to California, we do make a point of trying to go to In N Out.
