THT. Land of the free, home of the brave and site zero for the bragger. Very few of those braggers are humble.

The number of people who have a problem with people who do well is very high on this board. And complaining because someone used their money to buy their daughter an expensive car is right up towards the top of the list. I wouldn't do it for a first car but he's probably not stupid if he can afford to do it.

I agree , I have said on this site on more than one occasion it always amazes me how many shits are given about what other people do with their money . From yeti coolers to salt life to boat brands , cars , cloths etc. Who gives a flip what others want to spend their money on . Its theirs not yours or mine .... I do love a good humblebrag ! It honestly just makes me smile . Those that get all triggered make me smile even more . The sweet 16 thread was about a guy thrilled and probably a bit saddened that his little girl is growing up to fast . He bought her a nice gift for 16th birthday and don't think he had any braggy intentions . And lets be realistic a used bmw with some miles on it is really not much more expensive than a accord or maxima etc. and its a safe ride . Anyhow let the humblebrags continue I like seeing people do well for themselves .

Another thread on here yesterday, a guy posted a pic of some sweet 16 pics for his kid. He gave her a BMW. Some people called him out for humblebragging because they thought he used that as an excuse to post that he gave his kid a BMW. They thought he was humble bragging I guess. I thought he was an idiot. The percent of teenagers that get in a wreck is like 99.9%. You give a teenager a basic car that is used because they are going to wreck the shit out of it. It's just dumb to me but that is my opinion. If you want to give your kid a BMW, give them one when they go to college and have been driving for a few years. Not when they are going to 100% crash it. Might as well just light money on fire.
Agree 110% and you didn't even touch on the entitlement mindset that is fostered by said event.

Anyone know the paint color for a Yamaha 350? I'll pop open my MacBook pro and order it and get it sent to our place on the Gulf and have him take care of it"

"Anyone know what paint color Yamaha uses on its cowlings?"

See the difference....it's just funny. And now that it's a thing I notice it every time and chuckle.

Sometimes I'll even forward it to my lawyer... Figure he could use a break from all the paperwork of the sales of my many businesses, but for the nearly 250k I'm about to pay him he shouldn't be taking any breaks!

This is how THT has always been.
Hanging around since 05 or so.

I pay cash only etc.

It doesn't matter what you have done because I have done that twice and did it better each time than you did !
Which can be fun to listen too and thought "provoking".

The thing that I notice now is that there is more politics involved . Still my way or the highway.
Get tired of hearing this.

The fishing forums are always pretty solid.

yes it is and yes it does. When I had that problem with the piece of property I bought (cash) from an annoying neighbor 3 houses down (close to a mile) just because he was annoying, I paid off the city to reroute the roads, then had one of my many companies go demo the road (used it as a write off) and then go ahead and bring the waterline right up to me.

But back to the original question. Yamaha paint code is XRT98. This is, of course, if you're like me and have all your Yamahas painted aftermarket white. I even paint my new factory white ones, white.

Working hard to get ahead is really respectable. I admire that.

I'm just glad that I was born into it and didn't have to go that route.

I never understood the humble brags about having lots of money because the guy works hundreds of hours a month.

That doesn't seem like something I'd brag about.

Big deal, one works lots so they have lots of money. Isn't that how it works?

Wouldn't it be better to work smarter than longer?

No such fish. A 9lb fluke would have to be at least 26".
Nice try.

How do I know?
