I got around this problem by having my IT staff write an AI algorithm for me that detects and filters out humblebragging. While they were at it, had it set up so it captured all the HB'ers personal information, bank accounts, browsing history etc. Only took them 2500 person hours, so no big deal, since I'm the sole proprietor anyway.

I don't care what other people have especially if they earned it. I don't put a lot of trust in what people claim to have online but since I don't care..... brag away.

resurface a drive? Only broke folks pave with asphalt. Stamped concrete or pavers are the only civilized choice.

My boat is financed... and I have just as much fun on it as you do on yours that you paid cash for!

There is my humblebrag!

Humblebrag is mostly an Instagram thing from what I have seen, I don't think anyone here is looking for THT fame or Instagram fame.
agree. It’s a whole lot better here than other places where else can you go and complain about your 100 k toy and actually be heard.

So what is it called when you have things that you have worked your butt off for? Some folks I know think I'm rich because of some of the possessions that I have. They choose to drive brand new cars over what I choose to spend my $$.

I actually had to google humblebrag to see what it means...so it is something like this:

Sorry i'm late but the nearest secure parking garage for my BMW 540i was 2 blocks away and the Uber took 10 minutes to get there.

Sometime douchiness needs to checked. I gave a Ted talk on it years ago.

It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Another thread on here yesterday, a guy posted a pic of some sweet 16 pics for his kid. He gave her a BMW. Some people called him out for humblebragging because they thought he used that as an excuse to post that he gave his kid a BMW. They thought he was humble bragging I guess. I thought he was an idiot. The percent of teenagers that get in a wreck is like 99.9%. You give a teenager a basic car that is used because they are going to wreck the shit out of it. It's just dumb to me but that is my opinion. If you want to give your kid a BMW, give them one when they go to college and have been driving for a few years. Not when they are going to 100% crash it. Might as well just light money on fire.

Socialism prevails in 2019. Nobody should have more than anyone else, everyone knows that.
