Instagram and ThT are definitely worlds different for sure.

Boating and fishing are expensive. Makes sense that a large majority here are well off...mostly because of hard work from what I can tell.

I don't know about that, my 21" 9 lb fluke only cost me a couple of gallons of fuel in my properly equipped boat.

It's depressing to know this whole "humblebrag" BS came Instacrap and infested THT .

I didn't say they NEEDED to be expensive. Our boat will run all weekend on $30 worth of dead dinosaurs and it cost next to nothing for night crawlers and a Zebco 33.

Reverse humblebrag?

You're looking at it wrong...two completely different things. On instaface it's all about portraying you "living your best life" 100% of the time in order to make others jealous and garner social media likes and validation. It's all fake.

I don't think anyone cares about ThT "likes" other than a way to say "I read your response but don't really have anything else to add"

Least that's my take.

ITT, we discuss how a played out internets phrase from 10+ years ago was discovered by THT boomers and subsequently overused in every thread to the point it was as cringy as pics of wife or looks tippy.
Sad!

I actually get satisfaction from seeing others brag about something I did or had ten years ago.

I'll go on record here by saying, I work hard for all my crap. Not 1 dime was given to me by anyone when I was getting started. 28 years ago I was riding a bicycle to work saving money when I met me wife. When I was a child and I wanted something my dad had, he'd say, work harder, save harder.

Oh, if you would like to share a pic or a thought of something you have, share away. You earned it.

Humble brag this!

It's a private drive I'm having resurfaced before I replace the dock. Ensuring it dries as don't want that on the dock nor boat deck ya know.

"humble brag" is an overused, worn out, cliche on this site.
