Default Songs original vs remake who’s better

Do you like the original or the remake better and why. Post original or an older version vs a newer version and tell why You like it or don’t like it.
I’ll start
The sound of silence

Simon and Garfunkel

Disturbed

Love the original but the Disturbed version sounds better edgier.

Helter Skelter - Beatles / original

Or

Helter Skelter - Motley Crue cover

Or

Helter Skelter - U2 cover

I can't decide... Gonna have to go with Motley Crue's version, love the whammy / trill dive Mars does on the solo

The cover is pretty damned good. But original better, some songs shouldn't be covered and that is one of them.

Original by Bruce

Remake by Manfred Mann

I tend to like the remake better because it's just peppier . However, the original is pretty cool too.

I'm going to commit Rock & Roll blasphemy and say I like Hearts rendition of Stairway to Heaven live at the Kennedy Center, 2012 better than Led Zeppelins.

What amazes me is when a group who does not speak English nails it... This one comes to mind..

Yep blasphemy LOL. I will give Ann and Nancy the short version, but the live version on The Song Remains the Same is untouchable.
