I don't think Living off the land has anything to do with this and people accusing them of flagging zipzap or having something to do with it are being irresponsible. I think someone mentioning the models and cost of boats might be onto something though. Living off the land has a very small percentage of views compared to zip zap.

Then again its a bot controlled algorithm and IMO the big youtube stars should consider the fact that youtube doesn't care about them enough to compensate and move.. Take their millions of subscribers with them too.
The only problem with this is that these big progressive, leftist tech companies are litigious AF and they will sue the shit out of anyone who dares to try and compete against them. Whether they have legit claims or not, they’ll still sue upstarts to force them to bleed money. Most people simply don’t have the resources to go head to head against google.

he should spend his time and money providing free entertainment. thats what youtube provides - a hobby and a medium for expressing your creativity that allows others to see it. the only reason is started to suck is overhyped "creators" with god complexes making tons of cash doing stupid things. zipzap needs to get over himself and figure he isnt going to be paid for his hobby any more. maybe use a flipphone instead of a multi thousand dollar camera kit and start doing it for fun again.
so you wouldn’t have wanted to see videos from the white marlin open from the inlet? You don’t think he deserves to get paid for providing those videos?

Well, since Google sold out to work with China instead of the US Dept. of Defense, and clearly we see a lot of American made boats on this channel, I think it's quite obvious Google has teamed up with tunnels.

yes i would have wanted to see it but only if it was convenient for him and fun for him to do **without compensation**.
i dont think he should get paid for providing those videos. its a hobby and something he does for fun. its not a job. he doesnt need multithousand dollar equipment and weeks worth of professional editing. he needs a cheapo phone, tripod and a bit of editing software and 30 minutes of his time. sure the video would have looked crappy but guess what -- i wouldve watched anyway.
this is a hobby not a job. i post up my videos all the time and i get criticized a lot but guess what ? i dont owe anyone anything and dont expect to get compensated for them. i do it for **fun** just like a drive a boat around without the expectation of catching fish. whatever happened to just spending time on hobbies with no expectation of earning money ? does everything have to be professional work all the time ? i dont think so. youtube should just demonetize everyone then everyone gets an equal shot at producing popular videos.

If the guy figured out how to make a buck and he's not hurting anyone go for it . ZipZap got shafted somehow and it sucks . Over the last 6 months and maybe in the last year I've posted all his inlet vids here and it was all positive for everyone , not one negative comment on THT has got to be a record .

You just sound angry that you can't make money on YouTube but zipzap could. Noone wants to watch shit that's filmed on an out of focus, handheld, shaky phone camera. The production, editing, and quality of video makes a massive difference.

Youtube's algorithm picked up that zip zaps viewer base was also watching conservative related media and demonitize the channel.

So basically your shitty youtube channel is a failure so you want everyone else to fail and not get paid as well? Lol

no you dont succeed or fail at hobbies - you do them to enjoy them, not to win or lose or for some monetary benefit.
is it really that difficult to understand ?

worlds changed rapidly my man. If someone can make a side gig or even a full time gig from creating content good for them.

I must be getting old. As much as I love boating/fishing who has the time and interest to watch boats go in and out an inlet. Christ that’s about as interesting as watching paint dry.

You cant be serious? Do you know how many "hobbies" in this country have turned into full time gigs? I'd say almost every small business started as a hobby until they could support themselves full time. I love ZZP, but You Tube is a private company and they can do what they want, there will be another platform at some point that spans with all the BS that YT creates.

Do you think YT should make money from ZZP videos?

ZipZap addressed it in the video itself. He made money from allowing ads in his videos. Not one subscriber or viewer gave him money. So who cares if he made money or not?

It is obvious by now that Google needs to go under courts like everyone else. Remove immunity it is being abused.
