Really? He should spend his own time and money to provide free entertainment to people while Youtube continues to make ad revenue from his videos that they keep for themselves? That doesn't make any sense.

how is youtube making any money ? they dont show ads on your videos once demonetized.
he should spend his time and money providing free entertainment. thats what youtube provides - a hobby and a medium for expressing your creativity that allows others to see it. the only reason is started to suck is overhyped "creators" with god complexes making tons of cash doing stupid things. zipzap needs to get over himself and figure he isnt going to be paid for his hobby any more. maybe use a flipphone instead of a multi thousand dollar camera kit and start doing it for fun again.

Damn, that sucks. I hope it comes back, I love watching his videos. 1. It's funny watching some of the idiots out there and 2. I LOVE seeing how the different boats handle the big waves.

I really enjoy his videos. Especially when he identifies the boat manufacturer.. hopefully he finds a different platform.

1) Wavy Boats
2) Livin Off the Land

Two other youtube channels that do the same thing zipzap does but they offer more in depth info regarding the boats. I love watching zipzap but, it's not the end of the world. Luckily we have other options for boat content at Haulover Inlet. Hopefully his appeal works too.

I guess youtube hates boats unless they have a bunch of flabby hoes shaking their bulbous rear ends in thongs while some talentless thugs curse and makes threats via "rap" lyrics. Certainly we cant have tasteful boating content for adults and people with functional brains, that would be horrible.

Stupid algoritm combined with their greed. This way they will pocket all the revenues.

Hopefully he will win his appeal. There are lots of channels have gotten demonetized, then had it corrected. It's certainly not a perfect system, but there are too many channels to have someone on the youtube payroll looking at every video posted.

Agreed; if you didnít like his videos, then you must not like boats.

Thatís the first thing I thought of. If for whatever reason that is the case, may karma pull the plug on his boat.

I'm all for bashing these libtard social media companies but anyone else notice the timing in relation to when he started listing boat prices next to the names? Not sure why someone would as this is generally pretty good exposure for their brands, but maybe someone doesn't want their numbers out there? Someone definitely complained but the timing is sure suspicious.

youtube still reserves the right to place ads on your videos regardless of whether or not you receive a cut.

Iím not sure whatís up with livin off the land. I find it interesting that I watched a lot of ZZP videos and they used to always recommend them even though I wasnít a sub. Now they never recommend his videos but Iíve always got livin off the landís videos in my recommendation list.

YouTube looks for any opportunity to demonetize videos. Theyíre clearly trying to get into their own exclusive YouTube produced content with shows like cobra kai. Naturally it allows them to keep all profits for themselves. But it also allows them to have greater control over whatís broadcasted. If youíve got 50-100k subs, YouTube takes up a big chunk of your time. To afford to create content people have to generate income from it. If they cut your income, your channel goes away. And YouTube is banking on the viewers to stick around and watch the stuff they produce.

Lol, classic case of TDS. Unfortunately extremely common these days.

real simple. Google owns yt. Google sells ads which they put on yt videos. People go to yt to watch videos. (And by default they watch the ads). If my videos draw 1 million views each, thatís 1 million people who are exposed to those ads as a result of my work. Why shouldnít I be compensated?

Exactly. No one bats an eye that a documentary makes money on the history channel or people making money from TV. Youtube is a legitimate platform that rivals TV for entertainment. Come up with your own content and get rich.. It's easy... NOT!

I don't think Living off the land has anything to do with this and people accusing them of flagging zipzap or having something to do with it are being irresponsible. I think someone mentioning the models and cost of boats might be onto something though. Living off the land has a very small percentage of views compared to zip zap.

Then again its a bot controlled algorithm and IMO the big youtube stars should consider the fact that youtube doesn't care about them enough to compensate and move.. Take their millions of subscribers with them too.
