Default Ocd

Is there a cure or meds for this?

Probably have one of the most severe cases and it does get to me some times but "IT" just has to be done correctly "my way", as usually any other way Always ends up costing me more money in the end.
At least that's how I see it.
Or are we just a dying bread of yesteryear in a disposable world where there is no long true workmanship, pride and quality in ones performances or finished products?

So, Is there a cure or meds for this?

I have it too. There's meds to treat the anxiety it causes but not the ocd itself. I just learned to force myself to deal with it.

I'm in the Club..LOL...Washing Machine took a dump yesterday..Being a Mechanic for 45 yrs. and have a knack to repair about anything,I pulled it apart...Easy fix for Me..$300.00 in parts...Wife wants new Top Loader which is around $800.00...I just can't see buying a new one when I can repair the old one [9 yrs. old].....OCD wise.......I had taken the front panel off,Wife said Washer was smoking..Gasket/seal to drum was torn....Was going to leave it at that...Sat there looking at 1/2 apart Washer...HMMM....For the Life of Me I could not refrain from taking it the rest of the way apart to find out the cause of failure!! It's like an addiction!!! I always have to know WHY!!! It is absolutley killing Me to even think about throwing that Washer away when I know I can put it back to New condition for $300.00 as opposed to spending near a $1000.00 for a New Machine.... Wife thinks Money grows on Trees,Ya' know!!

Many years ago at a barbecue, this little pain in the ass ocd kid went into full meltdown because my boys started playing football with a soccer ball. Pretty funny to watch.

We have a 18 year old Maytag I've rebuilt a couple of times but as long as it's not rusting out it's good to be rebuilt,,,, and better than factory.

Perhaps you could focus some of that OCD on spelling and grammar checking?

Being bothered by poor spelling and grammar is a completely different mental illness

That's what I'm talking about, dang auto correct program isn't worth the memory space it takes up.
Now I have to write a program that actually works. Shsssh.

If someone is going to blather on about the importance of the quality and pride for their workmanship then perhaps it would behoove them to verify the quality/workmanship of their rant. "Just sayin'".

Hmmm, great mechanic who doesn't always get his grammar right on a freaking boating website versus an English major who doesn't know what end of a spark plug to screw into a motor? Yeah let me think about this for a while...
