I spent some time up there for the races and for work in Mt P/swiftwater, friend has a cabin in Arrowhead that we visited years ago.

I was never really impressed by the area. But some folks enjoy the Jim Thorpe area, there’s a great wolf lodge...

last time I was up there we stopped in an old country bar and we were surprised to find a bunch of the NYC people that mayor Rudy displaced, nothing old country about the place.

we live a few hours away - and honestly the region isn’t high on our visit list.

We were just there last weekend and stayed at Babbling Brook Cottages in Dingman's Ferry, several Waterfalls in the area and the property borders on the George Childs Park that is currently closed but there is a trail from the property that will get you there. We did a fantastic kayak trip on the Delaware river, Kittatinny Canoes is right at the Park at Dingman's and took us to Milford and dropped us in. That trip was the perfect length, saw my first Golden Eagle. Grey Towers was very cool too, we went to Bushkill but that's more of a tourist trap and didn't go see the falls. The Waterwheel Café had good food and has a working wheel that you can walk around with a tour or just check out yourself, the people who built those thing were pretty smart.

Split Rock Lodge is nice or get a rental on Big Boulder Lake Or Lake Harmony.
https://www.splitrockresort.com/

Nice area to spend a week.

Take the train In Jim Thorpe, cool town to walk around in.
Hike around Boulder Field.
Plenty of waterfalls to walk too.
Beltzville Dam kayak .

We had a place up that area for years.

If your looking to rent a house look at Lake Naomi. https://lakenaomiclub.com/

My family has owned houses in Naomi for the past 40 years. Nice community. Smaller lake and they don’t allow gas power boats or anything over 16’ and no annoying jet ski’s. Tennis complexes/pools/9 hole golf course/private beaches. 1200 home private community.

I woukd rent you our place real cheap but nobody’s been up there for a good 18 months since my father got remarried, so have no idea what kind of shape the place is in.

Bushkill falls is a great hike if you are fit enough. Also, they are dog friendly too. Rickett's Glen is another that is more challenging then Bushkill. If you hit up Jim Thorpe take a trip up for dinner at Penn's Peake. I have seen a few good concerts there but the view is awesome.
