Default 2004 Yamaha f25 - what's the word?

Going today to look at a 2004 F25 tiller motor. It is a 4stroke. Anyone have experience with that vintage? From what I've read, they are solid, but need to hear from THT.

Thanks

Not that no body here has smaller boats but I'd say most will have 60 or more on back of their boats. If you don't get the answers you're looking for here try tinboat.org smaller boats, smaller outboards.

Gotcha,

I bought it attached to a 15 ft welded aluminum boat. Plan on selling the boat, just wanted the motor. Turns out the seller bought the motor new, had all the maintenaince records and it is CLEAN! After selling the boat, I'll have about a grand into the motor. I think I got a good deal.

I had that motor for 10 years on a 14 foot aluminum boat. Pull start, no tilt/trim.
it was an 03 or an 04. The carb is picky. I had to take it apart and clean it a few times over the years. I'd recommend non ethanol fuel. It never left me stranded. I'd buy another one.

I have an 04 4 stroke and yes the carb is sensitive to bad fuel. We have had it worked on a couple of times. Other than that the motor is awesome. Mine is on Carolina Skiff, the j16. It can get that boat moving to 30 mph! Lol. It's a solid engine. I would not hesitate buying one either again. Though I must say the new F25 that is fuel injected is lighter and is pretty sweet as motors go.
