Default Facebook live from the USS Lexington

So, I am not sure how it will work out, but my son and I, along with his Weeblos pack, are staying onboard the USS Lexington tonight. Now, the coolest part is this - My Navy buddies and I started a tradition of sharing a virtual cup of coffee together from our USS Sierra coffee cups (actual coffee cups from the ship that no longer exists).

So, we are going to try, tonight, once things settle down, to do a facebook live session to let them ask questions of Navy guys that served on the Sierra (she was the same age as the Lexington).. and I even sent a message to the Lexington FB group (one of them)... to see if any of them will be available.

If any of you guys want to watch, I will try to post a link when it goes live, here. I will update here about 30 minutes beforehand so folks will have an idea when it will be. Sorry, that is the best I can do as I have zero idea what all is going to be going on. I am sure the kids will get a kick out of any participation

We will also have breakfast tomorrow morning and FB live the coffee time, so will post ahead of time as well.

I will use this thread to update, and hoping it works. If not, I will also see if youtube live works.

I was on the Intrepid CVS-11 for a while between schools. Our main electronics shop was right below the flight deck and you could see where damage from a Kamikaze had been repaired.

I did the same thing when my son was in scouts. Can't believe how tight bunks were. More so, can't imagine being 20 years old in the south Pacific knowing you were the number one target. RESPECT !!
