You need to learn how commas work. I said impersonating an officer, while armed, to the fullest extent. That means he had a gun and was impersonating an officer to the fullest extent.

You guys really need to learn how commas and the english language work.

It's strange. So many times we hear "If they just actually paid attention, kept an eye on the weirdoes, and enforced what was on the books we wouldn't have these mass shooting incidents." Then something throws red flags all over that, and it is a non-issue. Well, it has been enlightening.

^^^ He is being charged with a crime

He was not armed, it was a BB gun (considered in most states as NOT a firearm)

This just doesn't strike me as behavior of someone who should legally own firearms. This guy legitimately seems to at least partially believe he is a state trooper. That just screams mental illness and a gigantic warning sign.

1. Dresses as a cop with a fake badge and shows up to actual 911 calls (which he may also be making false 911 calls to)
2. Outfitted his car to resemble and act as an unmarked police car.
3. Goes to the state trooper training facility with his range bag, pretending he is at work training, then goes to a public facility to shoot and tape it with the camera down, while bragging about being a trooper.
4. Social media shows he has easy access to or owns a vast multitude of guns while he is impersonating an officer.

I'm not anti-gun or anti-gun ownership. I find it interesting that people here seem to think this isn't an issue at all. I would think this is the type of behavior that is supposed to be monitored to keep guns out of the wrong hands when we have such mental health issues in play.
To points 3 and 4.

3. Looking at the date stamps on his instagram, he was at the range shooting weeks before he was at the State Police facility. So your assumption that he went to the facility and then pretended to shoot while at the facility is wrong. Also, looking at the DSP Firearms Facility page, there's a bunch of citizen classes held at that facility. No reason to think he may not have been in one of those.

4. His social media shows access to 4 guns. An MCX, M16, 50 cal and a glock. The M16 is clearly not a real M16 and more likely a full length AR variant dressed up to look the part. This kid doesnt have the coin to purchase a real M16. Same goes for the 50 cal. Cheapest 50 cal setup to put rounds on paper at 1/2 mile is $3k. And without shooting consistently, he's not doing that for real. Also, not a single article mentions any weapons found when searching his residence. Delaware papers wouldve had it a headline, "Lunatic Police Impersonator found with arsenal of assault rifles." My bet is he doesnt own any of these weapons and rented them to showoff for instagram.

EDIT: In fact a little more research turned up his range of choice as Target Shooting Solutions, who just happens to specialize in renting 50 cal rifles and all the other guns that he posted on instagram.

He's likely on a watch list now anyway... and likely deserved it.

Don't like the laws as is, change them. Make impersonating an officer a felony and you've fixed this one.

Post on May 9th has multiple tiles within. All the date at the range. Other dates at other ranges, but this is the one to which I am referring.

Initial reports said holstered firearm and nothing about BB gun. I guess they have since changed that.

He actually got her twice. Once in the head once in left arm. He's not much of a shooter.

What I would be more concerned about is his ersatz police car. there were several instances about 15 years ago in Texas where a similar nut job with a almost look-alike police car was pulling over women in the dead of night

and reading some of the other articles about this guy on the internet it appears that one of the things the police are more concerned about than the guns is the possibility that he is pulling over citizens pretending to be a cop

If its become perfectly acceptable for men to self identify as women and vice versa and not be considered mental illness, then why can't this weirdo self identify as a police officer. Maybe he's working his way up like Paul Blart mall cop.
