For real.

Should probably arrest these people too

or this guy

or them

get em both at once

im sure we'll hear more but as of now I really don't see much. Wasn't posting anything crazy really. Looks like all my friends stuff. Hell looks like my crap. lol. The badge thing is kinda weird. Maybe its a club badge or he wants to be a super hero.

I used to scan police shit as a kid, was a bunch of us. We found it entertaining, im sure if someone was super close by and in trouble we would try to help. Just dudes who listen to country music, hunt, fish, work on motors in the garage, grill, drink coors light.

Is there any ability for any government or law enforcement agency to determine someone is unfit to own firearms before they're convicted of anything? I wasn't aware that was even an option.

Mr. TorFed, I agree with you. The kid has some documented issues, and should not be able to legally purchase or possess a firearm until cleared by a mental health professional.

I don't know that any such laws are on the books in Delaware, but this is the guy a preemptory ban is intended for.

*** I think the "Armed Lunatic" label was a tad melodramatic, don't you?

It really doesn't alarm you that he has video of him pulling up to the State Trooper training range, claiming he is there to shoot and for training, then driving to a public range and then claiming he is still shooting at the troopers facility, recording audio of him at the gun range? That doesn't seem like the behavior of a mentally stable person to me. Especially when they drove their in their fake squad car that they show up to 911 calls in.

He was probably doing something stupid, yes, but lunatic and "armed to the fullest extent" is quite far-reaching. And tactical vests arent usually armored. A full IOTV with ceramic plates is pretty uncommon.
You need to learn how commas work. I said impersonating an officer, while armed, to the fullest extent. That means he had a gun and was impersonating an officer to the fullest extent.

well. You are wrong. They can take away for misdemeanor domestic violence.
Not as you put it. “Any misdemeanor charge”
i mean google is your friend when researching.

Hire the man. He probably knows how to shoot, drive fast and eat donuts already.

Let me guess. The military would not take him nor the police academy?

Don't know. It also looks like he may have been calling in false alarms to safe situations to show up to pretending to be a cop.

This just doesn't strike me as behavior of someone who should legally own firearms. This guy legitimately seems to at least partially believe he is a state trooper. That just screams mental illness and a gigantic warning sign.

1. Dresses as a cop with a fake badge and shows up to actual 911 calls (which he may also be making false 911 calls to)
2. Outfitted his car to resemble and act as an unmarked police car.
3. Goes to the state trooper training facility with his range bag, pretending he is at work training, then goes to a public facility to shoot and tape it with the camera down, while bragging about being a trooper.
4. Social media shows he has easy access to or owns a vast multitude of guns while he is impersonating an officer.

I'm not anti-gun or anti-gun ownership. I find it interesting that people here seem to think this isn't an issue at all. I would think this is the type of behavior that is supposed to be monitored to keep guns out of the wrong hands when we have such mental health issues in play.

Are the cops not charging him with some crime?

What should the cops do in your eyes? Make up their own rules to hold the guy indefinitely? Certify him as crazy so he can be held indefinitely?

Then you'd be complaining about cops being overzealous.

A thread obsessing about a guy impersonating an officer, seems quite rational...

Maybe some monitoring is needed....

we’re just trying to learn from the guy since it’s completely normal behavior. I have my tac-vest, airsoft P229, and chrome sherif badge on order. Thank god for Amazon!

In today’s society, driving with a gun rack in the back window of a pick up truck, probably qualifies the driver as a nearly armed lunatic...

There are laws regarding impersonating an officer, should we pass more laws?
When I lived in the mountains of PA. the cops only pulled over trucks that didnt have a gun in a rack year round.. They knew if they couldnt see a gun that you were from out of town.

I assume those are rhetorical statements.
It seems like far too many today (I won't say of which political party) are perfectly good with: we are only a nation of laws that I agree with - the others should be disregarded; and it is just fine to deprive you of those constitutional rights I don't think you should have, but I am entitled to some rights even if they don't currently exist in the law.
