I think the 900+ lb comment was in reference to the Yamaha 425. from the website: Dry Weight25" shaft / 432 kg (952 lbs) ; 30" shaft / 443 kg (977 lbs; 35" shaft / 453 kg (999 lbs)

Basically 250 lbs heavier and 25 less HP
