That is awesome. I ride the tracks by my house almost every afternoon...on my 4 wheeler and sometimes time the train just right. That is some beautiful scenery. Riding along the mountains...and that gorge scene....outstanding.
Love Bluegrass. Gonna crank up some Old and In The Way in a bit. Mix in some Hank Sr.

Can we start a movement. Perhaps some of the cycle groups could petition CSX to #sharetherails. Via their publicized schedule of course.

I like the little carts people build with 5hp engines to ride the abandoned rails. Looks like a lot of fun!

We used to have ones that were like pedal powered go kart frames here. Unfortunately didn't see much use and no longer exists. I didn't find out about it until after, but it looked pretty damn cool.

Now that could fun on a recumbent type bike towing a cooler with the essentials in it! Kicked back peddling down the tracks!

Ya can't steer? Guessing not.
What if there's one other person on this planet who bought that weird contraption and rode on the same track as you..going the opposite way? Someone gotta get off and remove their bike.
What if there's some area you want to "get off the track" and go ride around.? You confined to the track?

That's a better explanation of what we had. The karts were set up like recumbent bikes and did have small storage behind seats.
