Default Best Fatherís Day Gift Ever!

I know some of you probably had your kids cutting the grass at like 8yo, but to finally get my 13yo cutting the grass today is the best gift! I think he is enjoying it too!

Yup, I remember those days. Be ready for stuff. One bumped a tree with mower deck, got to spend some time working with him taking part off and bending it back. One ran it out of fuel and we got to learn how to prime the HP pump (small diesel engine). Let them make mistakes, it's how they learn.

Heck, I learned how a vacuum governor worked on my dad's Farmall Cub mower and would tie it open with twine... it would pull 3rd gear and I'd get done in half the time!

No way I’d let my boys drive the mower, that’s my secret time away from them and the wife!

When I was a kid I mowed a foot tall lawn full of gumballs with one of those mowers with no motors in the snow!

Today my 27 year old step daughter who I helped raise since she was 11 asked me if I would be willing to adopt her. I must say, it brought more than a few tears to my eyes.

Good job dad. When he gets a little older, you can perfect his technique with a beer in one hand.
