I know a few RNs and a medic or 2 who went to med school and became MD's. One is an ER MD who loves riding in a truck all lit up. There are some eccentric geniuses out there.

When I was an out of control T2 with 180/100 BP I got up 4-6x per night to wizz, never did the 30-30-30.

Didnt stroke out or die, I think.

disagree solely based on anecdotal evidence.

Disagree. Waking up and going to the bathroom quickly is not going to cause a blood clot or blockage from arterial disease, or aneurysm in the brain causing a stroke.

This is totally true. My mother's aunt's neighbor's son's best friend's dog sitter's great aunt got up to pee too fast one night, fell over, hit her head and had a stroke. Totally true.

I think you’re mixed up. Orthostatic HYPOtension is low blood pressure. Strokes are many times caused by high blood pressure. Could you post a link so we can all learn?
