Damned well might end up like a cat trying to hide in a Chinese restaurant.

That might be the freshest edible thing in that restaurant.

I'm sure he is long gone, but a manager at that location stopped to help/check on my wife a few years ago when she was nearly hit head on by a drunk driver.

I don’t get the eatting out at Applebee’s, bennigans, chili’s, Friday’s or any of their like. There are always locally owned joints that have decent food. I always look at the cooks. If I wouldn’t have them in my house why would I let them handle my food. I’ve bevome very particular where I eat now that I stopped drinking......

How many places have you found that you can eat? The food and bev industry as a whole are a motley crew.

I might be able to eat at a lot of places, but I can't say I've ever want to eat any of them. But now, there has been a few hostesses that I wouldn't mind.........

Chilis > Applebee's > Fridays in that order. It's never my preference. However, on the run its a safe bet. Having said that, they're not all created equal.

Chili's I actually find to be pretty good sometimes.

Otherwise, I opt for local like you said.

Not a huge loss for the food scene but I hate to see anyone go out of business.

All chains are meh. I will say though that I do look forward to the rack of baby back ribs with dry rub at Chili’s every now and then. They are really good.

I remember back when I worked at Fridays in college about 20 or so years ago these food chains actually had some taste to them , along with Ruby Tuesday., Benigans, Applebee's ,Chili's , ale house, red lobster , etc.

Fast forward today their food looks good but has zero taste to it.

the step up chains such as Outback and carabbas alsohave also been in the decline within the last 5 years as well.

I love that I can walk out my door and eat something delicious and home cooked in any direction (except up).

I usually just see water buffalo, bison, pigs, and other fat critters when I go to Applebee's. But they are usually wearing tee shirts.
