Default Just started listening to country, what should be on my playlist?

So far I got:
Waylon Jennings - Good Ol Boys
Alan Jackson - Chattahoochee
Carrie Underwod - Before He Cheats
Gretchen Wilson - Redneck Woman
Shania Twain - Any Man of Mine
Kenny Rogers - The Gambler
And a whole bunch of George Strait, Johnny Cash songs

I think I like more traditional country rather than crossover stuff but open to any ideas.

What should be on my playlist?

The greatest story teller of them all, Marty Robbins. he is a Western Ballard singer not a country musician.

Tim McGraw, not a moment too soon

The whole album is great. Goes well with your other choices. Kind of quintessential 90's country.

I like all of the suggestions but classic country isn't the same as new country. Listen to a little of both and see what you like......

Can you suggest some new country?

Would that be George Strait, Alan Jackson? Really like them...

George and alan aren't new country maybe a bit more modern than others. Blake Shelton, Luke colmes, some Jason Aldean, some older kenny Chesney stuff all pretty good. Theres plenty of new talented artists it's just not the same though. Check out Kasey musgraves young and very old school.

Havent read the rest of the field you asked and received, but you started off great...IMO, listen and enjoy what made great music great...then you can expand to the new genres from there...

Drop Carrie Underwood... there no American woman as beautiful with a more annoying voice...

Its worse than nails on a chalk board...

Go old school all the way...

Dwight Yoakam.

Newer country that sounds old might be something like Midland, Drinkin Problem.
