Good thing you saw it before it disappeared next year! Oh wait

What happened to those glaciers that were all over the North American continent? Are we sad that most of those went away? Do we want the Great Lakes to be still covered in a big glacier?

"Teams for Lysander Sponder University" my ass. Have you ever heard of this "university" or met any graduates? I haven't.

I notice that there is no data published nor supporting said 25% increase in Jackson Glacier. You're going to believe a crappy-ass website posted by a dude who (as far as I can tell) has no scientific background (is actually a lawyer), no scientific publications to his name, and most likely a fake university?

Or maybe you could look at actual data from the USGS showing that Jackson Glacier's area has decreased 76% from 1850 to 2015. Grinnell Glacier's area decreased 71%. Is that growing?
https://www.usgs.gov/data-tools/area...-fnf-including

At least 3 of the 37 named glaciers at GNP are 90%+ decreased and on average 68% decreased. I'd say some of those signs were pretty accurate - between 2020 and 2030. Not to mention that in the 1800s, there were likely close to 150 glaciers large enough to be named and we're now down to 37.

But hey, nothing to see here. Look, I made a snowball! Proof the earth isn't warming.
The guy's a nut job.

715 million years ago the Earth was covered in ice. If it didn't melt, we wouldn't be here.

15,000 years ago Ohio was under ice.
Those cavemen back then must've been burning a lot coal and spewing carbon into the air to melt all that ice.

Hugh? They're literally photos before and after laid on top of one another. If you mean you just don't like them, say they're fake news so we know you just don't want to see or hear about it.

Would be more convincing if we could see what they looked like in 1800, 1850, 1920, 1940, etc. I suspect the glaciers have been retreating since the last ice age.

Accord8ng to this article abrupt warming and co9ling trends are common in our earths history, but it must all be man made https://geology.utah.gov/map-pub/sur...t-causes-them/

I love those that say it's only a political statement by the current administration, using that logic was it not just a political statement by previous administrations?

Damn man, the ice is still there, in 6 months it's 2020 and they have egg on their collective faces, ooops, we'd better remove these signs.

Or even a current picture. There are some from 2016 and 2017 but some of those comparisons are from 10, 20 or 30 years ago. How about retaking them and comparing what's there now to what was there then (and then looking back at the 80-100 yr old ones)

Well, unless they disappear by next year, those signs were kind of fake news. Maybe to be more kind it was fake science. I understand why the signs are disappearing faster than the glaciers.

I did not and just went to try using it. Please educate me as the photos made no sense as I was viewing different back rounds.
I tried clicking on the right and left arrows but it did nothing.
Thanks.

Alarmists at work. Glaciers may melt, but to think they would have disappeared in ten years time is, well there is no other way to put it: they were (and probably still are) cuckoo for cocoa puffs / bat chit crazy.

It is really a shame, because there are powerful anti-psychotic drugs that do wonderful things for those kind of crazies. But as with all kinds of disorders and addictions, the first step is to admit your problem, and they have not yet done that.

Click and slide it.

When mother nature decides they should be gone, they will be.
There is not a damn thing man can do about it.
