Default Costa's...in the shop again.

I guess I'm caught up in the Costa funnel...once in they make it hard to get out until you just toss them in the garbage and move on.

The rubber doesn't last for $h!t anymore....I have four pair of 580G's and it seems like at any given time, one of them needs fixing. But they back you into a corner for $79 every time which I'm tired of. If you don't choose the "up to $79 approval" option, good luck getting your glasses back but if you think you are getting out for much less than $79 anymore....good luck with that too.

I keep them on my neck at all times when outside, they never get laid down until night time when they go back in their case...its not like I'm abusing them but I do wear the absolute dog-$h!t out of them....

Not sure what I'm saying here other than how many times do I send in a pair of Costa's for $79 when they are around $275 MSRP....I feel like when I first started wearing Costa's, it was YEARS before they needed anything. This pair I just sent back is 2 years old.

rant over. back to regularly scheduled programming.

I am on my 3rd pair of Maui Jim's, and the lenses must have delaminated or something.
I cannot get them clean anymore. Always a big smear on the lenses. I bought a cheap pair of no names for $15 to get by.
Want to try something new, but I don't know which ones??

I lose sunglasses, so I use cheap ones. But, I found a pair of Maui Jims with broken lenses. I picked up some replacement lenses on Ebay for under $25. Fuse was the brand. They're pretty good, and it was a lot cheaper than sending them in for repair.

Not sure why you are paying $79.00 unless you are opting to have new lenses put in?? I sent back 2 pairs of Blackfins last year for rubber issues. They replaced the frames for $12.00 and put my existing lenses in. The new rubber seems to hold up a lot better. Definitely could see that they had changed the frame, but the fit was still the same. They just swapped my glass 580 lenses into the new frames and it only took a couple of weeks.

I have 3 pair of costas . Have had some good and some bad experience . I have ZERO affiliation with Blenders eyewear but have bought 3-4 pairs of their glasses for me and my wife and so far love them ! Are the polarized lens as good as costa ... probably not but they range from 40-65 dollars . My wife had a pair of blenders that delaminated after about a year , I called and explained and they told me to have her pick ANY pair in their line up and they shipped with zero charge for new glasses and zero charge for freight . Also will add blenders wanted no proof of delamination , didn't need old glasses back or even so much as a picture of delamination . Boom new glasses in route . Because of the way they handled that situation I added a pair for my dad and one for my daughter . For mid level affordable decent glasses they are worth a look and have earned my business . https://www.blenderseyewear.com/

get the Costa's without any of the rubber shit on them and you'll be a lot happier. I've had two different pairs of 580 Harpoons for the last 5 years and not a single issue. drill a small hole through the ear pieces and attach the keepers that attach with snap swivels, and bingo, awesome pair of glasses.

if you sweet talk customer service they may let you switch frames, may be worth a try. I had a pair years ago with the rubber stuff on them and swore I wouldn't do that again, looked like hell after a season of salt and sun

The pair I have now I had since 2010, yes the rubber comes off every year to maybe a year-and-a-half. But $12 and I get a brand new pair in about a week to a week and a half, doesn't hurt my feelings. You're definitely doing something wrong for a $79 bill.
